The F1 Thread 2013 Season

I used to hate him, but not any more.
He is the best driver, running with the best team driving the best car. The rest are just playing catch up.

Yeah, he's extremely good, but its hard to tell if he is the best. Something tells me its probably Alonso just shading it over Vettel. I just wish he had a teammate who was capable of competing with him. It would have been amazing for one of the other big 3 drivers to be in a Red Bull with him

I agree about a teammate, but I cant agree about Alonso, Vettel is killing the rest of the field.

There is that, I dont think he is going with any idea of winning lots of , I think he would be happy with some podiums.
And he crashed.

He knows he will be the no2 driver at RBR, his role for the first season will probably involve supporting Vettel and picking up points for the constructors championship. RBR have invested a lot of time and money into Ricciardo so I am sure his time will come to challenge for the WDC.

No real way of proving it either way, but when Brawn has that 6 months of dominance, Vettel didn't seem to be able to get as close to them as much as Alonso has done for the past few years to Red Bull. But again, it was a completely different era almost, even just 4 years ago.

And I've seen Vettel make more stupid mistakes than Alonso, but once again, he's still a very young driver. Impossible argument, because I'm arguing against myself. Too many variables

Well he will be expected to win a few races especially when Vettel has a problem, won't be easy at all

Rosberg needs to make a move on Vettel or else he will be stuck behind him for another 30 laps.

How the hell does Vettel get a 20 second lead after a safety car just came out not too long ago?

He has been lapping around 2 seconds faster than Rosberg, don't know if it's Rosberg being easy on tyres or Vettel being ridiculously quick.

feck Rosberg, the safety car gave a glimpst of hope of making the race watchable and that gimp slowed the rest of the field down for Vettel.

I don't find a sport more boring than F1, even cricket. It's hardly a sport, more like an engineering competition, where there is only so much that a driver's skill can do for him if he doesn't have a competitive car.
