well done Lewis, I was not expecting that, in FP3 he looked dreadful.
So on what lap tomorrow will Hamilton's vehicle spontaneously combust?
That's a new lap record btw, beating Schumachers 2004 time which was in a V10! Although its still a ways off the actual quali times they set back then, even so thats quick.
Should be a good race , will be a battle with Lewis and Vettel.
Poor session from Ferrari, Alonso down in 8th.
Ferrari went out of the med compound, they did not want Pole, think it was just about starting the race on the medium.
It was weird they had very competitive pace up to the last session but clearly they felt they didn't have the pace for pole so they went with a lap on mediums in Q3.

Even with their fast Q2 times, they would not have challenged the Mercedes or Red Bulls in Q3. Therefore they're only one row behind where they would have been had they used the softs. Could prove very shrewd come tomorrow afternoon.
Lewis Hamilton has now advanced to Q3 in Qualifying 64 times consecutively, thats quite remarkable really.
Another strong qualifying result for Ricciardo, would be good to see what he can do in a red bull proper next season
