The F1 Thread 2012 Season

There are still 7 races left and they would've done the same if it was the 5th race.

Alonso is leading the championship and the extra points are important, Massa is not in contention so why would they do anything else?

Massa benefited from it himself in 2008 when Kimi had to almost stop in China to let him pass. Heiki did it for Hamilton. It happens.

Hamilton needs to pick up the pace just to keep the victory certain, he doesn't want to have a cagey few last laps.

I understand but that doesn't make it right. I mean after such a long time he finally had a good race and then he was forced to yield his position. I just am not comfortable with this regardless of the team.

It's part of the sport, it's a team and it makes sense. It's also within the rules again now.

I'll never understand the hate for Vettel on here.

Nor I. You'd have thought a collection of United fans would be above hating someone for being very good at what they do. I'm not his biggest fan and it was irritating seeing him walk through wins given the strength of his car but he seems a nice enough bloke.

yeah maybe it is a bit daft, when I have watched him on TV he does seem a very decent bloke.
When he is racing I just dont like him.

Good job RedBull.

Good race for Ferrari. Alonso now has a 37 point advantage over Hamilton.

Not sure what Brundle's on about, Hamilton is closer to Alonso than Button so Alonso would rather Button win. But I guess 3/4 of your closest rivals DNF'ing is not too bad.

He's up there with Piers on the twat scale that's why. He has a grin that makes you want to unleash the fury. It's certainly not just the caf, everyone I know can't stand him.

So you don't like his smile? That seems rational.

Alonso has to be slightly worried though, the McLaren looks really, really fast.
