Jenson confirms it then, Hamilton is the only one left with a new set of softs for Q3, open goal for Lewis.
Lewis should get pole I reckon, unless vettel does his usual and finds a second from nowhere right at the end of Q3.
What about Maldonado? Wasn't really paying attention about how many runs he did in Q2.
He did two runs, everyone but Lewis did. Saying that Lotus might have only done 1 run too.
Maldonado is the Carlos Tevez of F1, the ugly feck that everyone just loves to hate.

Well they are all out of new tyres, pretty sure that Lewis lap was on used softs too. A few will go for one run towards the end I think but yeah this is silly now.

These tires are bit of a mess
Even when Hamilton is on form McLaren find a way to feck it up, watch now as the technical fault becomes a major issue and a grid drop.
Racing is about preservation and qualifying doesn't even matter now, bring in special qualifying tyres and allow teams to select whatever compounds they want with the tyres for the race. I like how close the field is but I want everyone to be pushed to the limit, how can Lewis be 0.5s quicker than the 2nd place man but there was only 0.121s between 5th and 12th in Q2.
They're shit, I can't decide if Red Bull were just making sure they were ready for the race or if they just didn't have the pace and cut their losses.
I'm bit frustrated with all this conservation myself, imo that is not what F1's all about but at the moment its all about conserving tires, its been the story of the season.
It's a joke, we could reach a stage if any of the Top 3 don't win tomorrow where pushing to the limit all weekend doesn't actually reap any rewards.
It's all about getting to a GP, finding out which tyres are the best for the race. Trying to preserve as many of those tyres as possible with a decent grid slot and then managing the strategy in the race. It's all damage limitation and strategy.

I agree , if you make Q3 you should be made to do at lest a few laps.
Well those who get to Q3 are already penalised by having to use the tyres they make their fastest laps on. They need to do away with that stupid rule. It rewards people who have pace but fecked up their laps, which I find ridiculous to be honest.
The guys like Maldonando, Alonso and the Renaults are fecked. Almost everyone behind them will be starting on hard tyres. Hamilton is probably fast enough to get away with it.

That is a good idea , why cant they have rubber for the race and rubber for qualifying , I dont see what difference it makes to start the race on the tyres your qualified on.
Sometimes Q3 is approaching a farce , today's was a joke.
Just reading on Sky that Lewis,s pole is in doubt due to low fuel.

He was 0.5 seconds ahead, so little bit of more fuel wouldn't have made any difference so if he loses the pole it would be yet another feck up which is A routine for mcclaren any way.
