#F1 Vettel investigation ongoing - Christian Horner and more Renault guys have now gone to race control to see FIA

#F1 Unusual for a team principal to become involved in such matters which can only mean it's getting serious for Vettel...

Interesting.

Fuel issue so they reckon, might be sent to the back of the grid. Believe it or not the decision has been delayed because Charlie Whiting has gone out to eat.

Fuel issue. This could be great. I like Vettel but would much prefer to see Alonso win this year. It would be a heroic performance if he ends up top in November

He is thinking about it over dinner, let the poor man eat in peace.

Ferrari International Assistance keeping Alonso's title hopes alive.
lulwut

Actually no, he had less than a litre of fuel left in his car. Same penalty as Hamilton got at Spain.

White text go away.

So thats strange, they stopped the car and showed the reason why it was stopped which was accepted but somehow forget to mention its because it didn't have enough fuel left in it that they stopped it.

I'm not going to get happy until he converts the grid disadvantage into a poor result.

The finger waving twat has a habit of getting into good results from bad positions.

There is that yeah, I mean one timely placed Safety Car and hes back in it. If he starts from the pitlane he will be well behind but the cars immediately ahead will be easy pickings, the Toro Rosso's will jump out the way so his first battles would be about 15th.

Tough track to pass on but he could run long on the Prime tyre and make it work. Hamilton got 8th from the back in Spain, I think Vettel can atleast match that.

Still fancy Seb to outscore "The hand waver" in the remaining races after this and win 3 in a row.

Come on Grosjean, set your sights on Alonso tomorrow, you know it makes sense.

Looking at the cars in front of Fernando, I think Vettel will still be championship leader this time tomorrow but it'll be a hell of a lot closer and sets it up for a brilliant shootout between the two in the remaining races.

I can already tell just by reading the above that you dont follow F1 much, do you?

All of the above relying on a safety car....

Horner reckons a one stopper? feck me this could turn out to be a snore fest

What's the thought process behind starting from the pit lane rather than the back of the grid? Stay out of trouble into T1?

If he starts from the pit they can change gear ratios, suspension and the like. Starting in 24th would mean they cant do that. He won't even see turn one as he won't be released until the last car passes through the apex of the first corner. He will be at least 24 seconds behind the lead car when he gets released.

Ah, I thought he could do all that just because he effectively didn't take part in quali. Fair enough, cheers.

One of the HRT cars can't even get away on the parade lap:lol:
