I sky plused this but just saw that Vettel won. Is it worth watching or is it another snore race?
You have any evidence for that, or are you plucking those accusations out of your arse in order to further a particular agenda?
There are plenty on these boards who can't stand Lewis Hamilton. I'm sure there are others who dislike Button; there are certainly a good number who dislike McLaren.
And besides which, I'm not entirely sure of your point? It's already been clearly acknowledged that people who are fans of a particular person / team will enjoy their dominance; it's everyone else who will find it boring and start to resent them. For feck's sake, this is a Manchester United forum. You don't get much more dominant than that, and yet we all revel in it. And that's because we're the ones benefitting from that dominance. United fans weren't so giddy when Liverpool were winning everything in sight, but that's the nature of being a fan.
For everyone else, though, it's fecking dull. So Hamilton's fans, or Button's fans, would love watching them win. Everyone else (including the casual viewers), would find it boring, because it would be.
Next time you waltz in with some fantastic one-liner in order to dismiss the concerns of the doubters, you might want to make sure it actually makes sense.
Perhaps it's both? Don't forget this is a guy who almost won the World Championship, so he's hardly terrible. And Ferrari have confirmed him for next year, which would suggest they don't think they could get anyone better - so he can't be terrible, else he'd be out the door.
It's just that Alonso is that good.
I've always thought allowing unlimited upgrades during the season is stupid. Perhaps they should limit it, maybe even more so depending on where you finished the season before to level things up a little.
Or maybe I'm talking bollocks. But as a fan (but maybe not as into it as some), the start of the season was a lot more fun than it is now, and where I once had to watch every race, lately I'm not as bothered.
Exactly. Leave it so they can develop cars as the season progresses. One team with a dominate car for the whole season would be annoying if everyone didn't at least have a chance to make changes to their own car to try and bridge the gap.On the flip side, if someone over the winter produced a really quick car then the other teams have no hope of catching up if you limit updates. Which means a season full of processional GPs.
What is the spat involving Alonso?
What is the spat involving Alonso ?
Pat Fry gonna Pat Fry.
Vettel looks quickest again obviously but Hamilton certainly looks on it too, Alonso needs to find time or hes in deep trouble.
Redbull will be faster in cooler conditions.
Apparently Vettel has some car trouble, still not sure what. Could be demoted by a few places if he has to replace an Engine, I suppose.
Just watched it on sky plus now. Vettel was told to shut off his engine and pull to the side of the road. Any word yet on what the problem was?
Im not a fan of this circuit at all.
