The F1 Thread 2011 Season

They put a new rear wing on but it made the car 'undriveable' according to Mr Dolmeo so they took it off.

I see the Vettel moaning is out again, every weekend it seems. Dude's got the fastest car and a soft teammate, expect a dominating season and just accept it.

I like Seb what does everyone want him to do drive slow for the sake of it so everyone else has a chance.

Looks like heidfeld is fecked, still no floor on the car yet

Oh apparently vettel on a flyer now - shocker!

God brundle and co talk some shit. I wonder if he's aware that teams have 3 sets of softs. More then likely they used their oldest set 'which wouldn't actually be that old' but still enough to make them faster then a used set of hards.

Its like the old, will he run out of fuel crap they bang on with...

 @ Rubens on the car, "it's a bit of a mess..."

Well if it didn't mean anything they would all go out on the option and save themselves the headache. They still use a set of tyres they either could have used in Q2/Q3 or have to use in the race tomorrow.

In other news, Anthony Hamilton is popular in Spain ain't he.

So vettel heads out in Q2 early so that he can do a lap and then relax in the garage, decides to rub everyone's face in it by not using kers...

McLaren are closer I think, Red Bull are known to run a different engine map in quali which gives them extra time over a lap, you then have the DRS which they can open seemingly mid corner where McLaren cannot and also run a wider angle of DRS.

Still much faster in F1 terms but atleast at a traditional Red Bull circuit the gap is not massive. I think going forward they can atleast challenge them now and again.

Heikki 15th, awesome. Di Resta is doing very well against a highly rated team mate too.

marchi > Brundle

Common sense and logical reasoning > Brundle

But in all seriousness how anybody can believe half the shit commentators in motorsport bang on with is beyond me. Their job is to entertain not necessarily be factual. Especially in the role that Brundle has not so much DC.

Again if you ever hear them say 'will he run out of fuel' take that with the biggest handful of salt you can get. Teams monitor that shit from the first lap of the race and they know how much fuel he'll have at any time, down to the last ml in the catch tank.

marchi has got his controversial head on again.

I'm gonna go with a bold prediction here and say Vettel on pole.

I notice brundle does not say "mighty" as much as he did at the start if the season

Brundle is very knowledgeable, as is DC sat alongside him, and the comments on the use of soft tyres were bang on.

With regards fuel, there have been times this season where it's seemed that someone has had to preserve fuel because they've been more aggressive in the earlier stages than was planned for and burned off more than expected.

Here we go vettel is out, so it's an out lap and then a pole lap for him

Come on JB give me something to smile about

Never mind, vettel on a flyer so that's that
