All true but the Harder tyre is close to 2 seconds a lap slower here over a single lap, the teams up front will want to avoid it and do a minimal run on it. Schumacher is taking the gamble by starting on it I think knowing he probably won't challenge the front couple of cars but he gets the tyre out of the way first and will come back towards the end.
Brand new options are quicker than quali scrubbed tyres over the initial couple of laps and tend to last a tad longer. The advantage isn't much but its the difference when cars react to each others pitstops.
