The F1 Thread 2010 Season

There's a frigging huge difference between the times at the top of the board and the bottom, I reckon we could see some problems in the race with overtaking backmarkers, like when Webber went into the back of Kovi - he was so much faster he closed quicker than he expected. Hope we don't see any big incidents.

look at those crazy feckers on top of that hill

I can't believe how dusty it is, if someone goes off line in the very early stages of the race and throws a cloud of that up over everyone it's gonna be bedlam.

It's going to be an interesting race tomorrow. I think Hamilton or Alonso will win it, just in a sense that their race pace on a circuit like this should be better than the Red Bulls.

9th Poll for Vettel. Outrageous that he's not walking this Championship.

Pole means nothing in the grand scheme of things, its how your car is on race pace & the strategy that goes with it. Pole helps, but it isn't a be all & end all for walking a championship.

He's had 9 poles, the fastest car for the majority of the season, and he has the teams full backing to the extent they'll take parts off his team mate if need be

Vettel should have cruised this championship, and its an indictment on him that he hasn't

Well, people use the same argument to put down Button's title last season. Obviously there are other factors coming into play, I'm not saying there isn't. But when you're starting the race at the front of the grid over 50% of the time there should surely be questions asked why he's not well clear of the rest at this point (especially when parts are taken from Webber for him as Brad said).

Because Webber hasn't been driving the same car :wenger:. The one race they took parts was Silverstone, where Mark found that the new wing did very little for him. I'd say its no different to McLaren forcing Alonso to use Hamiltons brakes at China and Brazil in 07.

I really hope its not too heavy because you just know that they will start the race under the safety car given the circumstances.

Tomorrows race is massive really, if any one of the Top 3 have issues then they could be out of it and the McLaren's really have nothing to lose, add in some rain it could be a belter.

I think the McLaren's will do well , Hamilton looked good and Iam sure Button can sort his car out for the race.
If it does rain Hamilton is one of the best wet race drivers I have seen.
So long has we dont get the rain that Suzuka had we should be OK
From the BBC website

Drizzle in Mokpo, nearest city to Korea gp track. Meant to continue all night. Turn 16 was being repaired again tonight

A race is drizzel will be OK would test the drivers to the max.
Can see problems at the pit lane entrance during the race if there is heavy rain and the vis is bad.

Brazil is abit later, 4pm BST and Abu Dhabi is the usual 1pm BST. This is the last 'get up' race.

from the BBC website.

Jenson Button is watching the Hyundai Series support race. He could get some hints for track conditions and... three cars have just collided

lets hope the rain is not to bad don't want the race started under a safety car

If its raining, I actually would prefer the race started under a safety car.
How unfortunate would it be if say Rosberg or Massa lost a bit of control turning into the first corner and took out Alonso or Lewis by mistake ? The chances of this happening are far higher in a wet race at the start than a regular dry race start or even at any other point later in a wet race. With 2 long straights in the first section, many of the cars could very well miss their breaking points or try over ambitious passing moves by trying to break late. Unfortunate racing incidents this late in the season would be a pity

No one but RBR fans would want the last 2 races to be between just Vettel and Webber for the title.

Rain started to fall again, oh it would be so upsetting for vettel to have a massive off in the first corner....
