The F1 Thread 2010 Season

Any aussies here know what station this does be on down under. I'm out in the sticks in Oz for a few months but I can't see any F1 on any station and it's pissing me off. Is it on Foxtel? Any help appreciated

Looks like McClaren have made a step up here then, maybe the Red Bull domination has been caught up, and I'm not sure they made the most of it, say like Button did early on with his Brawn last season

When I was growing up, Ferrari were crap... two seasons off the pace and we might be heading back that way

ONE HD

EDIT: it is free to air, so you dont need Foxtel, it shows all practices, qualifying and obviously live races

This is what happens when that feckwit Montezemolo has his way with the F1 team. An astute business man he is, a good team owner he isn't.

There is a very good reason why Ferrari were shit before Todt was employed and that's because it was run by Italians.

Around 100 of their 211 victories have come in the past 15 years '71 off the back of Schumacher alone'

6 of their Drivers Titles
8 of their constructors Titles

In 15 years the team achieved more than what it had taken Italians to do in 45.

Montezemolo is a power hungry fool and his decision to sack Todt has proved that he doesn't have a clue.
Domicelli should have been on the chopping block after last season yet time and time again, his constant feck ups as team manager get overlooked.

I think Webber will take the win tomorrow again but you never know with reliability, they still look fragile the Red Bull's. Good job by Hamilton atleast makes it interesting, shame its on the same time as the England game.

Vettel continue's to sulk and lets be honest show he isn't half as good as people make him out to be, brilliant driver and a future WDC but right now still not quite top level mainly because he doesn't get the job done when things dont go his way much like say Massa. I don't want to be over harsh on him but he has been in the best car for a good chain of races coming off 2009 and only has 3 wins.

But yeah Red Bull win tomorrow simply because if Webber gets away on the first lap he will have an easy run, although I obviously hope not. I think McLaren will step closer at Canada and I will put money on a Hamilton pole there.

I'm not sure how much McLaren have caught Red Bull, I think it was more that this track suited and Monaco didn't. And should be more of the same at Canada for McLaren. Will be interesting to see how the race goes, as McLaren have been trying to tell us their race pace is as good/better than Red Bull, so we'll see

I hope for the quality of the race that both McLarens are able to jump a Red Bull off the start

You in a grandstand? I was talking to a mate over the pond and he was telling me the prices are really high.

To be fair car problems took two pretty much nailed on victories away from him so far this year.

:lol::lol::lol:

Jake just asked Button about Hamiltons ear piercings and he said 'yea I saw that' then when asked what he though he paused before saying 'erm, each to their own'.

translation: 'yea he looks a right twat doesn't he!'.

The McLaren is so much faster in a straight line it's insane. Watching the onboard it's like an F1 game on an easy setting where you just catch everyone up on straights with a much faster top speed.

F1 has gone 'F-duct' crazy. I'm sick of hearing about it. They're using the term almost as often as Mockey uses 'Deus Ex Machina' at the moment...

You can't tell me that that move on Schumacher was not down to how effective the McLaren F-Duct is. Those are exactly the same engines and Michael was not average on his exit. Look at the speed traps all weekend. McLaren are consistently 5 or 6 kph faster then everybody else.

It can only be a matter of time before Hamilton takes the lead here, his car is just miles faster.

Only one thing will stop Hamilton winning this race and that's if he screws his tyres getting over eager.

feck can't be bothered with this England game now I've been watching the F1 on the BBC site I'll put it on the big tv this is gonna get exciting rain in 8mins time.

The Mercedes team just generally have a shit car, the F-Duct contributed somewhat but it was more down to the general shitness of that Mercedes. feck, even the Renaults are quicker than Rosberg/Schumacher.

I don't think it'll rain, it'll just threaten and pass. However whoever called in Hamilton for that pitstop at that time has just about cost him the race. He could have easily won this if he stuck out after Webber.

RedBull reacted well though to bring Webber in at the same time, knowing about the 'safe zone' or whatever the feck it's called.
