The F1 Thread -2007

Without "schumi" F1 seems to be an improving spectacle now.
Maybe it is just that now England have a new driver to cheer on now and one that looks like he could actually win something

Agree. F1 is more exciting now than in a long time. Lots of good young drivers, from different big nations as well. Alonso,Kimi,Massa and Hamilton can all be competing for the glory this year.

A good qualifying spot is all that one needs.A front grid spot shall do the trick, unless there are accidents or incidents throughout the race day.

Like i said before, you newer know
In monaco there are always incidents, and who starts from the pole has 80% or more chances to win it.lets say hamilton grabs pole, and massa the second start line.whats massa chanses in your opinion?

A lot better than say were Alonso on pole. In this case the only thing that Massa needs to do is bide his time making sure that Hamilton doesn't get beyond 5 seconds of him. Surely given the long run pace displayed by the Ferraris so far this will give Massa a chance.Besides experience and nerves might tell for the rookie as leading a chasing pack which might include cars with a better package than McLarens in Monaco is completely different prospect to what he has faced thus far.

i think in that situation ,massa could only owertake the pole guy, whit pit stop speculations.it is very hard to owertake at monaco, you know that to
hope massa gets the pole

Kimi Raikkonen again falters.I really can't understand this guy. There always seems to be some problem with his car wherever he goes.

There is NOWHERE like Monaco! And those fecking yachts are awesome.

Come on Hamilton.

Its a very nice play the track looks amazingly scary to race around!

I remember the day we were there, my grandand was in a wheelchair so I was pushing him round all the corners :D (it wasnt a race day)

And yes Marching the yatch's are

Hamilton to win :D

One of my favourites I saw on a recent trip to MC...

Marching, on your first picture, the big boats at the last pier, are the super yatchs, or cruise ships and the like, as I remember it we went into MC on a tender. ?

Yes, they have built extra berths because the place was getting full...I was there last year for the Monaco Boat Show and I've never seen so many super yachts in one place.

My all time fav is Paul Allen of Microsoft boat Octopus...this was taken in Antibes last year.

Nice memory about your grandad by the way. :)

Cheers. :)

 That yacht is unbelievable!

Its almost as big as the ferries from the IOM to Liverpool!

Some of the speeds these guys are going round this narrow track is awesome....135mph into a corner FFS!

Doing a lap watching from the onboard camera is amazing.

Nerves of steel.

Its crazy! Especially with MC been normal roads, thats why its such a good race.

McClearn 1-2 at the minute.

You like all motor sport Marching?

I can't remember a less eventful Monaco race for some years. No change at the front at all all race, and there aren't even cars dropping like flies as usual.

That said, committment earlier from Hamilton and Alonso was mind blowing. They've lost control of the car on several occasions and managed to rescue it at the last second with magnificent driving!

Disappointing again for Ferrari and Kimi

Reminiscent of Rosberg joining McLaren in about two decades ago

I've tended to lose interest in F1 in recent years because it's so predictable although I always watch Monaco...plan to go next year.

I enjoy watching the touring cars and the world rally championship.

Cool.

F1 has got better now Sch has left, hated him

If you like bikes search for the TT on youtube, that is crazy.

Monaco is a joke of a circuit. No overtaking at all. All that is wrong with F1. I'm with viinz on the switch to MotoGP. Much much better.
