The Europa League 2017/18(Use the SF thread to discuss the current match)

No matter how some people try to belittle the Europa, its still the UEFA Cup,
Unfortunately it's not. The old UEFA Cup was a huge trophy, almost as important as the European Cup, and most times even stronger in terms of competition

The Europa League is the UEFA Cup's stupid cousin who lost all its money in a poker game and now lives off scraps on the street

Far better to win it than to get knocked out and say it doesn't matter.
I was absolutely chuffed that United won it last year, its all added to the European history of the club.

Good luck to the Arsenal..!!
Exactly!

A bit harsh. Viewed from England, Spain or Italy it might be. But it gives a lot of clubs from lesser footballing nations a day out in the sun - and that in itself is worth something for football as a whole.

What is with BT sport that they seem to attract bad pundits like a moth to a flame? John Hartson is like Shearer after a whack on the head.

Koln must be a worse team than benevento, unbelievable

Also, Luis Alberto used to play for liverpool?
