The curious case of Jon Moss

How can you give 5 minutes added time then blow the whistle before even 5 minutes have gone!? WTF

He allowed one team to be physical but not the other. Burnley were getting away with all sorts of pushes. Moment we breathe on them and it’s a foul.

He blew the whistle after that Burnley player shouted at him. Useless wanker.

How did he blow for time before the 95th minute ? The keeper wasted one with a goal kick and we scored which usually adds 30 seconds

Blows before 95? After blocking our last attack, us scoring & all the time-wasting by Heaton. Wanker.

And right after their keeper wasted another 30 second while taking a goal kick for the 10th time.

Gave a correct penalty (contact continued in the box) then changed his mind.

Intercepted the final pass then blew the final whistle early despite all the time wasting.

Let them shithouse Rashford all game.

He realised he made a mistake adding 5 minutes as he is simply unfit to last it.

That fat oafery late on blocking our cross, and then not rectifying it by at least allowing the 5secs extra we had to go and retrieve it!

How does this guy pass the fitness test?

fecking unbelievable performance.

Against Chelsea we had one injury feigning break and they get six minutes, here Tom Heaton starts taking 45 seconds per goal kick in the 55th minute and we get five minutes, then we score in injury time and Heaton keeps wasting time and he blows up on 94:57.

I've said enough on the bias when it came to the physicality on the teams, but the difference in standards applied to each team was ridiculous, even by PL refereeing measures.

Not the first time I’ve seen him get in the way of the ball.
Blows before added time is up (embarrassment?) and lets the away team use rough house tactics.
Isn’t there supposed to be more time added on if a goal is scored as well?
Totally unfit to referee.

Anyway regarding Moss, I've been saying this for years that the guy has no place in a top league. It's embarrassing for the pl that they continue allowing such an unfit and out of shape ref in their league and it's not like he doesn't make mistakes.

yes, but the time was inconsequential, its the fact he should have been adding time on not taking it off. Fecking idiot.

I lost my stream, but did he actually blow before 95 despite the fact we scored in injury time which must have lost a minute at least?

Blocked our attack and then blew the whistle early. He was infuriating the whole match. Burnley players kept pushing and pulling our players all game. Finally had the balls to give a penalty when we were 2 down.

fecking ridiculous to blow up early after we'd scored and they'd wasted about a minute on a goal kick. Fat tub of lard didn't want to run any more.

(feck me it's nice to actually feel truly angry about a ref again, instead of just a resigned shrug)

The pen vs Rashford that he changed did it for me.. He was hit and miss all night but the faul kept on into the box .. After that we would have won it due to more time being on the clock. Shocking performance.

He simply isn't fit enough to referee at the top level - he's always struggling to keep up with play, and takes ages to do anything as he's always catching his breath.

I remember Fergie getting fined for saying something similar when he was managing, it's amazing they haven't introduced a basic level of fitness for referees yet.

Taking a leaf out of the Clattenburg book of refereeing... There was probably somewhere he needed to be.

Hoping that's a typo.

What in gods name is that? You see an incident as clear as he did, points to the penalty then people shout at you and you regret giving it after a team made you second guess yourself. It is beyond easy to impact a ref like him. Unfit to play the game. It made absolutely no sense that situation, I can't wrap my head around how changing your own mind like that is even remotely happening in a professional game in the Premier League. If the lines man had a better view and told him, then thats different. He just changed his mind for no particular reason:wenger: suspect af

One thing you can always rely on is a ref never, ever, changing his mind.

If he isn't sure, then he should discuss it with his linesman.

Giving a penalty and changing his mind, without first having a discussion with his assistant is unprecedented.

His refereeing made me so angry I had to stop watching. Glad I'm not alone in my thoughts of how awful he was tonight

Blowing out of his arse after 20 minutes and inconsistent decisions. Just another day at the office for this prick.

Very true. It has to be one of the first golden rules on refereeing, no teams should tell the ref what he should do as that almost borders on game fixing. Even if it is in the spur of a moment. If this doesn't degrade him or something then I have lost all faith on this matter for PL.

United were lucky he gave such a soft penalty.
How is it soft? Lingard went for the early low cross shot and lost footing when pulled back in that motion. Even the defender knew he misread what he thought was going to happen. Look at his face

Not that I'm defending him (he was shit) but it would have helped if our players had actually taken a few shots in injury time instead of turning into Arsenal.
