Welcome to the draw for the Quarter Finals of the Criterion International Cup.

Given the significant interest in this trophy, it has been decided that this draw will be taking place in the Maracana, with all seats sold out to watch the draw taking place in the centre circle.

To explain the draw, each team will be drawn one by one until all 8 are drawn. Draw 1 will face draw 2, and 3 will face 4 and so on and so forth.

And so it begins...

The numbers have been entered into the lottery machine (borrowed from "Lotto") and they are being spun around by the fan. Any moment now the first number will be drawn...
 
And the first number out of the hat is... Number 3 - BorisDeLeFora!

The manager jumps up with joy as if being first out the hat means he's won something... but obviously, it doesn't. His backroom staff notify him of his error, and he covers his head in shame as he sits back down.

The nerves are getting to the lad...

The machine pops out another number... and it's number 6 - NoPace!

The likes of Ronaldo, Rivaldo, Hagi vs Ronado, Baggio and Rooney.

While the fans are speechless at the prospect of Ronaldo vs Ronaldo, the machine keeps rotating the numbers.

The next number pops out elegantly from the machine like a baby being born from the vagina of a woman...

The number drawn is... Number 7 - Cutch!

He stands up holding his platinum solid shield - such is his obsession with defense...

And we are back to where we were, the draft speaker has gone as red as blood (which is amazing since as he is indian with brown skin, he's never gone red before!) He must be really embarrased...

Anyhow, the machine draws ball no.4. Who will face Cutch?
 
Next out the hat, we have... Number 2 - Paceme!

He waits anxiously, knowing the only other teams have will leave to him facing the fierce-some duo of Rivaldo/Ronaldo, the powerful midfield of Scholes/Keane, or the pace and elegence of Robben/Zidane.

Who will it be?
 
So that leaves a big battle at the end... To confirm the validity of the draw, the final two balls are drawn. And they are indeed number 1 - Aldo and number 4 - Edogen.

A clash of some heavyweights, this truly will be a fascinating encounter. Just look at the number of players worthy of a picture...
