It was more so the taking of Stam that really made me have to change my plans to be honest, i thought there was a great chance he was going to last until my next pick.

Damn straight. What a brilliant, little player he was. I'd have taken him in a heartbeat if I hadn't thought of Mendieta for the "no leagues" category first.

...and then he was picked, I might add - because in theory I could've gone for him anyway, as he meets another criterion too.

I think it's pretty neat. Redondo is a superman in these drafts and so is Giggs. Ballack and Fabregas operating in front of Redondo gives you ample mobility and creativity. Giggs and Ljungberg offer the pace and width in flanks. I would say you got a winner here. Hope I don't come up against you or EDogen in first round!
 
The real question how that midfield will face someone like Rivaldo Baggio Iniesta or Zidane for me, neither of Ballack or Cesc are too defensive, and Redondo is incredible but won't be able to cope defensively alone against a strong offensive midfield..
Going forward that midfield will be superb.

I knew Simeone wouldn't last. feck.

That match would depend on 1. who can argue they would control the midfield 2. If one of the team can play counterattack. Cesc/Giggs/Ljungberg give me that option but it would be a good one!!
