How has the match been? I only watched the back end of the first set, from 5-5 and it was a bit patchy from both.

Medvedev started well but from the 5th game of 1st set onwards FAA has been better. Match is a combination of the former being a bit rattled by the crowd and the latter playing well in comparison.

Hope FAA takes this match, would love nothing more than a Nadal AO win just to rub it in Novaxx face.

Wow. Felix now 2 sets up. Brilliant game to serve out the second. No nerves this time around. Major major upset on the cards. Tsitsipas will be a happy man as well if FAA can see out this win.

FLASH aggressive game reminding me a little of Federer. But he doesn't come forward to much?

Mini rain delay during the third set tie break. Medvedev a mini break up..

Good set for Medvedev in the end. Feels like he's got his head back in the game as well.

Is this guy a serious contender for the title then if he gets through? He's a new one on me but I feel generally speaking an up and coming top ten player who downs the favourite can be taken pretty seriously.

Every semi-finalist will be a serious contender this tournament. Very hard to pick one from this crop.

Huge hold there from FAA with an ace on the break point. Now missed a match point. This is still on a knife's edge.

Christ I switched this on at work 3 games ago. Intense stuff. Hope my boy Medvedev finishes it now.

They should really implement a 10 second rule between serves. I reckon he'd be the only competitive player on tour.

If FAA makes it through I think he's comfortably bottom of the pile. He has the least experience and hasn't even won an ATP title yet.

Exactly the reason why I like him as well. No nonsense ball pounding, just wreck it without hesitation.

Logically yes, just feels like the kind of tournament where anything can and will happen. And it's not like the other three look unbeatable.

Anyway, convinced Medvedev will take this from here.

It's been an okay match overall, I think. Exciting, but quality is iffy.

The first set was high quality. FAA really took it to Medvedev. Since then, both players really under par.

FAA hit more errors than anything else from mid set 2 onwards and Medvedev has given up a ridiculous amount of opportunities on his serve that big players would have taken.
If FAA had any more composure, he'd have done this in 3.

On QF form , Tsitsipas really should be the favourite to make the final.

Nah Medvedev should still be favourite. Tsitsipas is actually more a clay player while Medvedev is more a hard court player.

On paper, yes. But if he plays like this, he'll get beat. Tsitsipas looks to have peaked at the right time. Medvedev has shown glimpses, but nothing of his true level on a consistent basis yet.

You have to give credit to FAA though, he played so well in this match. And also Tsitsipas needed 5 sets vs Fritz (22nd) who's much lower rank than FAA (9th)

The interesting thing going into the men's SF is that everyone looks beatable. We've seen flashes of great play of course, so someone could suddenly hit the consistency groove, but otherwise it's looking like fine margins and stumbles.

I'll be shocked if Barty doesn't become women's champion, mind you I've thought that before and been wrong. Barring injury of course :D

I watched Keys this year. She's bloody good. I didn't expect it from her. Don't be surprised if the semi final Barty vs Keys looks more final than the actual WTA Final.

Medvedev very nearly fecked up serving for the match. He's still favorite for the title but less so than at the start of the tournament for me.

I'm glad Medvedev's coach took his mask off there. I was having a hard time believing that it wasn't Edwin Van Der Sar.

The crowd clearly don't like Djokovic, Medvedev when asked what he thought about when he was two sets down and he said he was thinking 'what would Novak do' : and the crowd then booed

Medvedev Tsitsipas is always a fun match. There should be more of such clear animosity in tennis.
