Tennis 2019

Thank you, but that's mostly only some nice tennis. I meant more about supposed dramaqueenlike behaviour from Andreescu, what might've prompted Kerber to say that...
Andreescu took two breaks to see the trainer twice before Kerber was serving and she screamed a few times on Kerber errors.......main reason is probably that she has lost two times in a row to Andreescu in the last few days :)

Djokovic out. What a comeback from Agut after the first set. Djokovic looks nowhere near the guy that was at the Aussie open or the six months before that.

Djokovic lost in 3 to Bautista Agut. I'm pretty surprised that he hasn't been able to pick it up after his short break. Most likely a meaningless blip, but with his past struggles there might be a small element of doubt there.

I wouldn’t call Kyrgios a genius. More like a idiot wasting his talent away. He should just shut his mouth and play tennis. Always looking to pick a fight with somebody.

Well, I just saw players getting violations called upon them for underhand serves, maybe that's why more players don't do it.

Though, video might not be current, rules changed?

Anyone been watching young Auger-Aliassime (henceforth known as AA as I'm too lazy to keep typing that long name out).

Teenager from Canada now playing Isner in the semis of the Miami Open. This kid is seriously talented.

Currently serving for the second set after losing the first.

Just gave his breaker back (sigh). All that good work down the drain.

Shapovalov is like a rabbit in the headlights tonight.

Fed was sublime:drool:

Denis will be fine. He would have learnt a lot from that match.

2nd break for Fed:drool:

Isner also struggling with an injury. But Federer takes it, however it's served.

First player of the year, male of female, to win two tournaments.

Fed wins his 101 title.

He may catch Connors at this point.
Would probably pass him if he stays injury free.

First in the ATP or WTA to reach 3 finals and 2 titles this year.

Needs 9 titles to go past him and in this form he can easily take the likes of Dubai, Basel, some of the HC masters in the next 2-3 years.

I dunno. Like all players, when he goes over the hill, it'll probably be pretty quick. I suspect he'll end up on around 104 or 105. I can see the last few being annoyingly out of reach for him. Also, I could see him retiring after the Olympics and winning 9 more times in that space of time is probably beyond him, given the depth of competition around the place.

Would be great if he does since its always been one of those records that no one thought would be broken anytime soon.

How good is Félix Auger-Aliassime? I barely watched any Tennis this year.

Yeah I'd imagine so, although he's playing smart tennis right now and I'd imagine Djokovic and Nadal waning steep before him and none of the young guns feel me with confidence that will beat him regularly.

What is more astonishing is that only 4 of his last 20 titles were 250 events, as much as Nadal and 1 more than Djokovic, but doing it at his age is pretty impressive.

Yeah, Nadal and Djokovic are pretty far off, whilst Connors vultured small time events to reach his numbers (59 of his trophies are minor ones with poor fields).

Hard to say this early, but is one of the two (along with Shapovalov) who are considered more talented than Raonic and grand slam material when they enter their early 20's and develop right.

He was pretty impressive in Miami and reached his first ATP final this year. One to keep an eye for sure.

Thanks. I saw the highlights for some of his matches. He looked incredible.

Enjoying Monte Carlo tournament. Quite a few close matches, and quite a few favourites out, like Nishikori, Wawrinka or Čilić. Đoković could've easily lost as well, it was a match with 9 breaks of service games! And eight of them in a row!

Giles Simon looked great so far, but sadly, checking schedule, seeing he withdrew against Fognini. Shame.

Nadal's first match is today.

Favourites as in tournament favourites? Cillic is remotely never a favourite on clay. Nishikori is a waster not a favourite and Wawrinka still is hit and miss.

There is only one favourite and if he’s fully fit then the rest don’t stand a chance. The only two could maybe sort of trouble him are Djokovic and Thiem. Djokovic is not in great form and we have to see how Thiem does.

Anyway looks like London is losing the ATP finals to Turin.

More like favourites in those particular matches. Haven't watched Wawrinka or Nishikori matches, but Čilić beat himself, I've no doubts Pella will easily go out in next round.
