You said it yourself. He was impatient.

In the first he was slicing a lot more and forced errors out of Anderson. The guy won sth like 11% of baseline points halfway into the 2nd. Since Roger started whacking it, he got into his comfort zone and won the majority of exchanges since, and now the match is on his racquet.

I’m not confident if this gets to a tie break. Let’s hope Anderson’s level drops soon.
No tie breaks any more. This is the fifth set.

Wimbledon doesn't have TB does it? Or did they change rules?

86% first serves for Anderson in the fourth set - surely he can't maintain that.
Exactly what I said. But the start if this set and he has not missed a first serve yet.

Del Po raining down aces already
Will be a miracle if Nadal gets the win on this surface.

So impressed with Anderson so far. He's sticking to the gameplan, for better or worse. And I think he might well beat Federer with it.

Fed’s in a really tight box right now. He can’t really mix it up and start to attack the net, having no margin for error, but Anderson is just relentless.

Big hold and Rafa goes 0-30 as well on the Del Po serve. Good minute or so.

6-6

Federer is starting to look strong again, but Anderson isn't ready to give up. Good match.

Think Anderson deserves the win sadly. Not like Fed would have gone much further anyway, Raonic or Isner would have been a huge struggle and no way he would have beaten Nadal in this kinda form.

I've not seen every match he's played at Wimbledon this year, but what I have seen of Federer prior to today is that he's been making the wins look easy. Anderson's doing really well here.

8-8

My gut tells me that Federer is going to drop his level in the next service game or two and that’ll be it.

Feck me my anxiety levels have gone up like crazy, This is going on and on. Every time Fed serves I can barely look.

That was coming. He just doesn't have the game to keep getting out of the holes he's digging for himself.

Serious now. What a turnaround if Anderson does it as well, from two sets down.
