They are potential yes....but no more so than 1-5, 2-6, 3-7, 4-8 being the matchups.
I don't think Djoko will make the SFMislike these draws tbh. I'd want Fed to steer clear of any with Djoker in it, even with the latter's current form.
Uninspiring as he is, Wimbledon is the perfect tournament for him to rediscover his mojo given a mediocre field. Of course, Fed has no god given right to make the semi despite being the favourite but Djokovic remains his Kryptonite. A big performance against Fed might just be what can rekindle his fire.I don't think Djoko will make the SF
Wimbey is his worst surface. Murray (even in his wank form of late) is more dangerous there than Novak. I'd argue that even Nadal could take Novak out considering their level at the moment.Uninspiring as he is, Wimbledon is the perfect tournament for him to rediscover his mojo given a mediocre field. I think there are enough big hitters around in the early rounds that will cause Djokovic problems (same issue with Nadal I feel). Federer this year has been great, and nothing points to him losing against Djokovic. Even if the do meet, I wouldn't be surprised to see a similar outcome like when Rafa played Novak in Madrid this year.Uninspiring as he is, Wimbledon is the perfect tournament for him to rediscover his mojo given a mediocre field. Trust me, I'd love nothing more than Fed getting Novak back for all those heartbreaks post 2012. Maybe you are right, its just that I dont know how Fed's frame of mind would hold against him. He dispatched Nadal with ease after Melbourne but the almost blew the AO prior to those 5 magical games.I think there are enough big hitters around in the early rounds that will cause Djokovic problems (same issue with Nadal I feel). Iirc Murray has only once beaten Fed on grass in a 5 setter (London 2012). For whatever reason, Novak seems to have Fed number. Now I know the fear is a bit irrational and strictly by current level Fed should win, still...
To be fair it's five years since Federer beat Djokovic in a BO5, that might be a bit of a mental block. I agree though, logically if a post-prime Fed could run prime Djokovic so close then based on this year Federer would be the favourite. What in the blue world makes someone think Djokovic is Feds kryptonite? At his ruthless peak, Djokvoic still couldn't fend off Federer, a person 5 years his senior as easily as he should have, arguably his comfortable of big wins still went to 4 in the Aussie last year. Theres no odd winning streaks, or brutal dominations like Nadal had over Federer....just age and different peaks.
I'm not entirely sure what's behind Feds odd dominance of Murray mind you, if you are speaking of kryptonite, Federer is all over Murrays mental state....but they haven't played in 18+ months, so it may not matter.

The Federer of Wimbledon 2012 would have won quite comfortably in 2014 or 2015 I think. Weird how at the time that tournament felt a bit like a last hurrah. And probably closest to see Federer play close to his peak (those five years ago). Resultwise 13-16 is pretty poor time for Federer. He still made it to the later stages of top tournaments, but by no means close to his top level(or consistency).

Not sure how this one will pan out.
Those outside of the sport who know of Serena will probably cry sexism a bit, but for any who has even a rudimentary knowledge of tennis would acknowledge the truth of the statement. Not sure how this one will pan out.
Serenas best weapon is her power. That's not going to get far in the men's game as we seen with a lot of power players. Then you add in with the inconsistency of the other women and you can see why she easily dominates.
Yep, Dimi Tursanov is currently 700 in the world - he was once a pretty good player and is only 34. I'd fancy him to win very comfortably. Those outside of the sport who know of Serena will probably cry sexism a bit, but for any who has even a rudimentary knowledge of tennis would acknowledge the truth of the statement.
In fact, 700 is quite generous. I think she'd be hard pressed against 1000 or below.
Ticketmaster 9am the day beforehand they put up like 300 tickets. Tickets understandably go quicker than the time it took for you to write that question. How does one apply for tickets for the Wimbers Final?

I'm only going to try if Nadal makes the final.
Either touts, having someone who is well connected or you can pay for a debenture ticket. With the later you'll have no problem finding them online but starting price for mens final tickets is around £3k.I see. No other way no?
Many thanks.

Was about to post this. Not so relevant on grass..Thiem got trashed by 222nd player on the tour. 3-6 2-6, ouch. Bloody rain ruined the day in England.
