Nah, I refuse to believe this is going to happen. Seen this script and it always ends with Fed winning in 5 at most.
If Del Potro makes it through, Nadal will find it tough to stop him.
I don't think anybody has beaten Nadal and Federer back to back twice. Imagine doing that and not winning the slam. Thankfully for Del Potro it could have been even harder if Djokovic and Murray were on the other side of the draw.

Not that Delpo makes it through here but IF he did, I'd be absolutely fine with him beating Rafa. Would just love for him to win a Slam again.

He's playing well enough to take Rafa 4 or 5 sets, but I think Rafa is in slightly better form at the moment.
Only issue he has is Nadal will target that backhand non stop, which I'm surprised Federer isn't doing more of.

Still crazy to think that we'll probably never get Fedal at the US Open. Although much like in 2013 it's probably for the best from Roger's point of view... Nah that was 2009 US open final. He's played in some quality matches vs Djokovic at Wimbledon. Nadal and Murray at Olympics and Murray again in the Davis cup last year.
His serve dropped in the 2nd set mostly, otherwise it's been very good.
This match is really reminiscent of old Fedal encounters. DelPo's forehand just so flat it forced Fed to hit around his backhand or slice it constantly and make UEs.
I got offered the crappiest seats in the house on Friday for $200... Decided against it. Kinda glad now. Del Po will get thumped by Nadal.
I'm a Fed fan, but have to admire Del Po. The guy keeps coming back, and clearly has a huge heart. Would have won more than Murray without the injuries IMO

The way Del Potro is serving, Federer might go home without even seeing another half decent chance. It's brilliant to see him back at his level.
Now watch Delpo go on to lose in straight sets to Rafa.

Del Potro has a good record against him on hard courts and beat him in the olympics last year. Obviously Nadal is improved from last year, but Del Potro is getting better every set in this tournament.

That point at 30-30 just about summed up Roger's tournament. Pretty fun match overall, just a shame we didn't get a fifth set.
