Zverev the Older made 7 unforced errors. That's massive.
What a strange tournament, I bet Thiem goes out today.
Let Nadal make it there first. The way this tournament is going, anything is possible.Dolgo through 6-1 6-0 6-4. Only caught the last set but he doesn't look convincing on his serve, nearly pissed 2 breaks away from DFs.
Nadal is going to have a field day returning.
definitely. He's still in the drivers seat, but considering all the BP's he had in the first set he should've won it.Rafa not making things any easier on himself.
How exactly is being a set down and unable to take your chances being in the drivers seat?definitely. He's still in the drivers seat, but considering all the BP's he had in the first set he should've won it.
Would be tough for Mayer to keep that level for 2-3 more sets. Doubt will creep in no doubt and if Nadal raises his level should win comfortably. He won't get too many free points from serve. How exactly is being a set down and unable to take your chances being in the drivers seat?
All he needs to do is play one more similar set here and he's going out.
Returning from the same place his uncle sits against 110mph serves doesn't help tho.Nadal just struggles when it is break point. Surely confidence issue.
Mayer completely imploded after the first break mentally and Rafa raised his level so normal order resumed I guess. Please wrap this up now Rafa.

You gotta say, Nadal has one of the lightest draws of all time. fecking L. Mayer in round 3.
What are you going on about?
What are you expecting with the injuries and players that have been knocked out. Not his fault Gasquet is awful these days and loses to Mayer is it?
If you wanna look at light draws then go look on the other side of the draw because Nadal is on the tough side.
No need to get grumpy.
I'm not.
I'm just asking what are you exactly expecting for the world number one in round three? He was meant to face Gasquet but that wasn't the case. He's meant to face Berdych in round 4 and that wasn't meant to be. Can't really blame him or say it's a light draw when the players he's meant to face get injured or lose and the other side of the draw is miles worse.
They were done for nigh on an hour now. Any longer and the match might even be postponed halfway until tomorrow.
