I'm being genuine and either way, it's a win-win situation for me. If Federer loses, I get to see the most dislikeable fanbase in melt-down. Money can always be earned back and I make this back in 2 days anyway, no big deal.
You're a bit of a weirdo.

Really? Meltdowns are always nice, but hardly most dislikable fellows are fans of his. Though, to be fair, RedCafe is the only place I see them regularly.

You think he'd sit there bawling his eyes out in front of tens of thousands of people (let alone the millions around the world) just to win some sympathy? Ok.
Just think about it. It makes perfect sense. I can't believe we didn't all see it before now.

If he loses he'll impale his foot on a spike and they'll award him the title by default.

You make 1200 in 2 days? That sounds hard to believe.

So a meltdown of a fan base, majority of whom you do not even know, compensates for your real world monetary loss? :wenger:

You are strange

I doubt that he us gonna retire though. He's playing the best tennis in at least the last 5 years, he can surely win some other trophies next year and widen the gap between him and Nadal.

He looks younger than Nadal and Djokovic despite that he is 5-6 years older.

He's playing great tennis. But his biggest nemesis from the last 5-6 years in Djokovic isn't around to grind him down.

There's no guarantees he can repeat it next year. Djokovic was holding all four slams a year ago, so things can quickly change.

Sometimes it's better for a player to retire on top. There's no guarantees Federer will have this type of season next year especially if Murray and Djokovic return to form. More so the latter.

You will be surprised at how intensely loathsome Federer fans are, and what you see on RedCafe are just the tip of the ice-berg. Go to TennisForum and even more so in real life, among my social circle. God I can't stand them. They are the most precious lot. at least with Nadal and Murray fans, I can still have a decent conversation/debate with. With Federer fans I come across, they would downplay at every Nadal/Djokovic's achievement and when you try to belittle Federer, they get all angry and call you names. Therefore, me putting money on Federer is a win-win situation because its akin to betting on Liverpool/City.

Federer who wasn't playing anywhere as good as this year gave good games to Djokovic in two Wimbledons he lost. While there is no guarantee that he is gonna play as good as this year, there are also no guarantee that Djokovic is gonna be back at his best. Fed will have good chances on the next Australia, Wimbledon and US, he can surely win at least one of them. And if he is enjoying it, why he should retire?

Awful final. Cilic has been an embarrassment.
Amazing that he's won more games than Wawrinka at Roland Garros. After an epic in Australia, the last 2 slams have been utterly dominated and the finals in particular.

Busy time of year for some folks. Between watching the odd set of tennis and spending 16 hours a day telling the 'fans' of a particular player to go feck themselves, it doesn't leave time for much else.

At least Nadal was incredible in his final at RG but Federer has barely done anything. He has just watched Cilic gift him the match.

Cilic has been completely dismantled. No shame in that, Federer is the greatest ever. 35 years old and heading to another slam. He's a fecking machine.

Cilic gave a really good account of himself this set despite the injury.

Cut out the ball bouncing and I'll root for you after Fed's gone.

Dude is injured. The only embarrassment is your knowledge and understanding of what is on the TV screen in front of you.

If you can't see that he is rushing points and not moving well then you should quit watching tennis.

It's alright, he makes $600 a day he can take some time off

It's a good bet!

He's going to win it. But he did put a similar amount on Djokovic.
Ah, thought Fed needed to get one ace every service game too.

He put 1200 on that stupid bet?! Wait, are we talking pounds, euros or Zimbabwean dollars?

He put 1200 euros for Federer to win Wimbledon.

He claims it doesn't matter if he loses the bet, as he can make that 1200 back in 2 days which is hard to believe.

I still think Zimbabwean dollars is more likely:wenger:

Legend. We've been lucky to see all these players over the last decade or two.
