Murray to win the French, and complete his grand slam in Australia at the start of next year. #AMGOAT

Nadal really looks done.

He won't be winning the French this year. Djokovic to complete the career slam.

Big week for Nadal in Rome as the conditions and surface are a lot more similar to French open than Madrid.

Why do I find this a bigger anomaly than when journeymen knock out a top seed in the first or second round? Bonkers.

Yeah, reckon Djokovic will take Roland Garros.

Nadal now down to no. 7 in the rankings

Don't write Nadal out just yet. This will hurt his pride so much that he will be seeking blood at Roland Garros.

Well I never seen him this bad. He chokes on nearly every big point. Which is the opposite of what he's done in his career.

Pretty sad that Rafa is now pretty guaranteed to be 5th to 8th in the French. Be brutal to see Djokovic vs Nadal in Quarters. Reckon it'll be "fixed" to set up a Federer-Nadal Quarters though, which Nadal will win in straight sets of course. No one wants anything other than a Nadal-Djokovic final right? Well unless you want some Federer miracle run I guess, though he needs someone to take out Djokovic for that, possibly Nadal, who then blows up against whoever in the semis.

Nadal is just not going to win Rg this year. He's become a massive massive bottler of big points over the last year and this will cost him big time. Only way he wins is if someone somehow takes out Djoko and he has a good path to the final himself which is rather unlikely given his ranking.

As long as you don't go all tabloid "told you!!!!" if he doesn't win given you Nadalhuggers predict it all the time.

Was surprised that Murray won, more surprised that he did it comfortably. I won't say he won't win RG because he probably will, but he looks very very vulnerable. Djokovic would have to go in favourite though for sure.

Nadal's improved a lot after the last couple of months, he'll probably peak in time for RG. And I still don't see too many people who can take him out there. You'd expect the organisers to keep him and Djokovic apart in the draw, so he's likely to reach the final. And for all the talk of Nadal turning into a mental midget, if it ends up being Djokovic vs Nadal in the final then the pressure on Djokovic is going to be immense, and he's shown before he doesn't always handle playing Nadal at RG too well.

Having said all that Djokovic is still the clear favourite. Personally I'm hoping for Nadal, Djokovic and Murray to be in the same half of the draw and tire each other out in some epic 5 setters, while Fed waltzes through the weakest draw you can imagine to beat Murray in straight sets in the final.

Does anyone know the name Horacio Zeballos? One of the exclusive four that beat Nadal on a clay final alongside Murray, Djoker, FedEx

Reckon Nadal's confidence is very low, that's why he chokes on the big points. I do miss the old Nadal though, he was a beast.

It's quite a pity for Nadal to be unable to have an 'out' shot at 15-40 at 3-5 in the first set. He could have drawn 5-5 in the set as he was serving well then

Murray pulls out of Rome with fatigue. Disappointing if that is the case because he did have good momentum behind him and a good week in Rome would have given him a bigger boost for the French open.

where is Del Potro? I thought he was ready to play after that long break.

What a turnaround in that tiebreak from Stan. 6-2 down against Nadal in the tiebreak and he managed to win it 9-7!

Nadal bottling another game.

Sad to watch currently. Rather have him at his best and someone beats him.

Nadal losing on clay again. It's pretty sad to see the end of the road for a legend.

Doesn't look like he will be able to catch Fed's slam record now.

Unfortunately Nadal is not the same. This time will be very difficult. Djokovic easy
Every chance of having a Nole-Rafa quarter-final, now that Nadal has dropped to 7th :nervous: Well even Murray has stepped up on clay performance

I was looking forward to Fedal XXXIV, they're never going to play each other again at this rate.

I find the matches awful to watch (maybe because I am a Fed fan though). They're so predictable.

It's a good chance right now for him to improve his record.

True. I just think the mental damage has been done though. Federer wilts when he plays Rafa. Even Rafa in this state would find a way to win.

I don't think so. I hope they meet in the French open. I think federer can take him.

As a fellow Federer fan I feel your pain. But Nadal's not what he used to be, and Fed's backhand (usually what lets him down about against Nadal) has been on fire in his last few games, so while Nadal would obviously have been the overwhelming favourite it would have been interesting to see how it would have played out. I hope they don't meet in Paris though, too many bad memories there.

Nadal 3/1 to win the French......the lowest he's ever been to win it. But it's also the first time he's never won one of the three Masters prior to it. That's them being safe as well since it depends on if he's drawn to see Djokovic prior to the final(odds should go lower) or not, as they won't want to lose out on each way bets. But insane if he goes as low as 5/1 should he be in the quarters with Djokovic it's likely.

Make that 4/1 before the draw even announced.

Potential Men's quarterfinals at RG:

Djokovic vs Nadal
Murray vs Ferrer
Federer vs Wawrinka
Nishikori vs Berdych

Nadal's potential round 4 opponent is Dimitrov.

In women's, Azarenka and Serena can meet as early as in round 3.

Have they officially been sorted into such quarters?

Some of the post about Nadal on this page are amazing, you would think that he has been losing in the first round of all the events.
