Tennis 2015

Happy for Stan. How was the match? I may watch the full replay of it on ITV player tomorrow.

post-Lendl also, do you think?

I think it's overstated. He isn't as good as Djokovic at consistently hitting with pace and depth, which is a bigger problem to counter over five sets. His mentality is often questioned because he gets visibly angry but I don't buy into it.

It's strange that Wawrinka has developed so late. Tennis players usually peak mid twenties.

Nole seemed just a bit emotionally and physically tired after beating Nadal and Murray over two days. Stan played fantastic though and fully deserved the trophy.

Booing Wawrinka on a regular basis because he beat France in the Cup Davis.
ffs

Btw is Wawrinka the Antonio Valencia of tennis? (other than being quite good part) Wins his second grandslam and looks like his someone drove over his dog.

He's been through a divorce only recently I think. Not sure if his private life is affecting him in a way. But he did always seem somewhat 'unimpressed'.

I don't think that's it. I don't know what he looks like he's smiling.

Definitely one of the best FO in a long time (sorry Nadal). Competitive match and really an unbelievable performance from Stan today. Very fun to watch a genuinely aggressive player on fire.

I think he's always been a bit like that but earlier in the tournament the Roland Garros website posted an article about his personal life and he didn't take it at all well. Asked for the person responsible to be sacked and such.

Should be interesting to see how he does at Wimbledon. I've not been Wawrinka's biggest fan, but he was marvellous in the final today. Best backhand in tennis at the moment. Some absolute worldies today.

is there a place for having full match replay other than pulling from kickass?

must be damning for Djokovic, the ultimate fortress has fallen and he still couldn't touch the coupe, had he won it would have been like RF in 09

on the other hand this shows real respect for FedEx '09 FO campaign, he's hugely underrated on clay and definitely the best apart from the beast, and he could slot right in there as soon as the beast fell for once, it really took huge balance, control and winning mentality to withstand the pressure of having your only chance

Nadal is now ranked 10th. Unless something dramatic changes, he's not likely to claw his way back up and will have to deal with random draws where he's scheduled against tougher comp.

I don't even remember his last good match at Wimbledon. in last 3 years he was beaten by Rosol, Darcis and Kyrgios pretty early in the tournament and that was when he was still able to compete against Djokovic and others. I can see him going out early yet again.

first grass title since SW19 '10, very solid the last two matches. hopefully to build on that for Queen's and Wimbledon

Del Potro having another surgery on his wrist. Gutted for him as this wrist injury has screwed his career.

He looked really good. Hopefully he gets a decent draw at Wimbledon and can take it out.

Never been a fan of Ivanovic's looks, everyone drooling over her and I thought she just had a spade face.

However, watching an interview with her now and she looks insanely hot  Too many hawt female tennis players kicking about at the moment.

The line judges in this Wozniacki - Petkovic match are fecking atrocious, it's on the 4th game and they've got about 6 calls wrong already :wenger:

The Woz held serve and now breaks Petkovic... so 7/8 breaks...

The womens game really can be mental sometimes

Then another break 8/9 breaks  Could be making a fortune betting on serves to be broken, they started at about 2.4 for the first 4-5 games, bit lower now mind.
