Tennis 2015

Incredible tennis by Stanley, really a transcendent effort today. Well deserved victory. A pity for Novak who's had an incredible tourney.

That. Was. Incredible.

That backhand is like the 8th wonder of the world. It's just beautiful.

What a great winner to win the championship point.

Djoko just cannot win this can he?

As if I've spent nearly ten painstaking years watching every single Andy Murray match waiting for him to win Slams for this fecker to win just as many in the space of 18 months. You've got to laugh.

So devastating for novak

Beat Nadal and still no RG :lol:

That backhand is a thing of absolute beauty.

So appropriate that the win came with it.

Stunning performance from Wawrinka. Two slams and against Nadal and Djokovic in finals!!

As much as I can't stand Novak on the court, off it he does seem like a genuinely good guy, so I have to feel a bit of sympathy for him.

Wawrinka was just incredible today though. Some of that hitting was outrageous.

Absolutely ridiculous.

Insane how much you have to do beat any of Rafa, Fed or Djokovic at their prime.

I was thinking that earlier. It must actually be really frustrating for Murray himself too.

Massive kudos that Wawrinka hung in there a 4-3 0-40. After he had lost 2 break points in the previous game.

Beyond glad Nadal lost to Djokovic. Wawrinka would have taken him to the cleaners if he had somehow managed to beat Djokovic.

Funnily enough, the two people to have beaten Nadal at RG have both ended up losing,

Very possibly. The difference, I think, is that Andy has never had the weapons to steamroll the top players in a one match shoot out like Wawrinka has just done there. He's been playing a similar game to Nadal and Djokovic, but just not as well.

6/1 best odds for him last night. Mad how written off he was. Me too, since `while i glanced at it briefly, still didn't touch it. Probably 20/1 after the first set. Capable of special stuff is Stan, epically flakey though.

Djoko is always class in defeat. Especially given that EVERYTHING he's done the past couple years were to beat Nadal and get the RG, but still classy.

Federer and Nadal's apparent decline is such a shame, doesn't look like there's anybody who'll be able to stop Wawrinka winning everything.

He did blow away Djokovic at Wimbledon 2013.

Not with an emphasis on one specific shot like Wawrinka's backhand at the French or Del Potro's forehand at the US. Plus, I think Murray is generally better on the grass full stop.

I think it's more about mentality
