Tennis 2012

Just shown on the TV, the line judge pulled a Busquets and rolled off the seat.:lol:

Nalbandian moaning at decision to disqualify him and blaming everyone other than himself by the sounds of it.

Dickhead.

Are the other top players playing at the Olympics? Are people taking it very seriously?

:D

Anyway it's certainly a huge loss for the event.

Yes they are, The last olympics in 2008 was probably the first tournament that was taken really seriously by all the top players in tennis and with the tournament being played in London this year at the All England club it takes on even more importance. All top players are from different countries aswell and are fighting for medals.

Djokovic will carry the Serbian flag at the opening ceremony, Nadal would have carried the Spanish hade he not dropped out and I haven't heard whether Federer is going to carry the Swiss flag, he should though considering he's their greatest sportsman ever. It's a testament to how huge the sport has become when 3/4 players are among the biggest stars of the Olympics. Six of the last eight Sportsman Of The Year awards have gone to tennis players aswell. Should be a great tournament.

Djokovic stated at the start of the year that a Gold medal at the olympics was top priority of the year.

Nadal pulls out of Toronto next week as well. Hope he gets some match time before the USO.

Nadal pulls out of Cincinnati too. He's going to play the USO , if he plays at all, without any match practice. Can't see him doing anything at the USO this year :(

What's happened to Andy Murray?

Mario Cilic just missed a smash. No I don't mean it wen't out. He actually failed to get his racquet on it. Brilliant stuff.

Meanwhile.. Federer wins Cincy 6-0 7-6(7).

Cementing his #1 status until USO (and probably even after).

I just don't get it. I guess the only thing Federer had to do in solving his Nadal problem was to wait for Nadal's body to break down.

What's to get? Federer is troubled by Nadal on slow high bouncing surfaces. Most of their meetings went there. On fast low bouncing surfaces Federer blitzes Nadal every time they meet..

Exactly. The slower the surface, the advantage goes to Nadal. That's why Nadal doesn't win indoors and has never won the year end championships. Actually the way Roger is playing right now I think he would take Nadal anyway.

That was disappointing :(

Kim's first loss at the USO since 2003.

Boy it's hard to like Murray. Just watched him lose to Raonic in Japan and he smashed his racquet, cursed and swore as usual and barely shook hands. Nice to see a Canadian doing so well.

Djokovic leads 5-4 in the first set vs Murray and there have been 6 breaks already!
