Telegraph Investigation: England Manager Sam Allardyce For Sale | Big Sam leaves England job

If they insist on giving it to an Englishman then give it to Bruce. Not fashionable but a good manager and top bloke.

Of course they should consider a foreign manager but the FA, Press and pundits all like to pretend Sven was a huge failure and England can't go there again.

Sweeper!, Striker!

Give it someone on a temp then offer Wenger a fat load of cash.

To be honest I think Cappello is seen more as that problem foreign mamager.

Wayne Rooney as player manager.

He'll play where he wants then.

Wenger is a good shout. Also he will probably be very interested as it means he doesn't have entertain the horrible idea of engaging in transfer activity.

Sam Allardyce caught being Sam Allardyce shock.

I can't believe for one second that the FA didn't know what a dodgy shyster he was. To me this points to them needing a shake up as much as the manager needs kicking to the curb. Odious bunch the lot of them.

To be honest, he's just stating how it is. It's been known for sometime that companies use agents as reps, if you like, to earn money from their ownership of a player. I bet your bottom dollar the FA know all about this to anyway. It wouldn't be hard in this day and age to find out. With all the corruption in football around the world today, wouldn't surprise me if the FA even took secret back-handers!

Not saying he's the right guy for the job, but these kinds of stings do make me feel a bit uncomfortable.

I'm not sure if what he said is that bad really but he probably shouldn't be having meetings like this now he's the England manager that aren't arranged by the FA in the first place.

If the FA sacked Hoddle over misguided personal beliefs then surely Big Sam is a goner.

From the stuff they've published so far im not sure he's said a huge lot wrong to be honest.

So the papers make money from stinging the managers
The journos make money by generally being slimy and looking for opportunities to sting people
The agents make money from the fact that everything is so corrupt in the first place
The corrupt FA, FIFA and other governing bodies are making money by being corrupt
The players make more money because of the agents
The already uber-rich owners make more money off the back of football because they can
And the refs make money because of Fergie's brown envelopes

I love modern football because its all organised and played out for the sheer love of playing the game

It's very embarrassing but not fatal for Sam right now - he will apologise and get a slap on the wrist from the FA and they will hope other more damaging stuff does not come out in the coming weeks. If more (and worse) stuff does come out then he could be in a very serious situation but I dont think he is there yet.

Just reads like some ''careful who you upset on the way to the top'' payback to me.

I don't think it's enough for him to go, combination of 'personal views' & stuff everyone knows goes on but you shouldn't talk about. Massive humiliating public bollocking & then they run the 'on to the next game' spin and get some friendly stuff run ''a much chastened SA admitted his mouth run off...'' this kind of thing.

What a buffoon. Might be keeping a lower profile for a bit is my guess. Very do-able for the International boss compared to high profile Club manager.

There was something a bit Hitler-esque about Hoddle's opinion.

"You and I have been physically given two hands and two legs and half-decent brains," he was quoted as saying.

"Some people have not been born like that for a reason. The karma is working from another lifetime.

"I have nothing to hide about that. It is not only people with disabilities. What you sow, you have to reap."

Not to mention that wherever he got his beliefs from, it wasn't Buddhism (as you say, misguided).

Frankly anyone with any sort of belief like this should be sacked anyway.

Yeah but not after such a short time in the post - if this had happened in a years time then things could be different but there is no way the FA will want to do anything like sack him only a month or two into his job.

I don't think he's done much wrong. The FA will probably back him as I imagine others within the organisation are also involved in this kind of thing. It's basically rule bending - nothing illegal and he certainly won't entertain the idea of bungs for players!

Italy is tougher on that regard than the UK. Calciopoli and the totonero scandals shook the Serie A and hit talent/clubs which were much more important to the Italian national team/FA then frigging Bog Sam

But those scandals were much more serious though - match fixing and getting at referees? Big Sam Gate/Big Samopoli is some clumsy attempt at making a bit of extra cash through "consultancy". It would not directly impact events on the pitch.

Sting set up by the FA, perhaps?

Clearly they've found out something and want him out.

I agree. Wasn't Rojo 3rd party owned when we bought him? There's no way clubs don't bend the rules when it comes to transfers and getting their man.

I think this is the key point. So far nothing has been said to incriminate him from a legal perspective. He alludes to ways around 3rd party ownership but there could be perfectly legal acceptable ways around it. He avoids saying anything about paying players and CEOs suggests it only happened in the days before he was manager.

The only thing is, surely the telegraph wouldn't have gone to print if this was the sum total of their evidence. Other meetings where he properly incriminates himself would surely have been attempted.

Probably sack Allardyce & hire LVG to bore us into oblivion. At least we will have the majority of possession.

LVG is so toxic after his stint with us that Belgium thought Roberto Martinez was a better option... let that sink in.

That's it, the Italians go in much deeper shite in terms of football. The consequences are even worse. By hitting Juventus when they did, they were hitting the team who basically had 2/3 of the Italian national team on board and also held a big chunk of most of Italy's future generation team. Those scandals not only weakened Juventus but also the entire Serie A and by consequence the national side. The consequences of such 'scandal' won't hit England's national team. Actually, if Big Sam is sacked, then it will be a big plus for English football.

Problem is, you just don't get caught saying it. Might be that this is the how it operates, but the FA won't allow it getting public.

That conversation was supposed to be off the record banter right?

I mean if I'm talking shit about goverment politics and corruption and suddenly the other guy tape it and posted it on YouTube....
Then nobody notices. If you're in a position where you're words and actions are being taking into consideration, then there's gonna be people judging - and it's not just your average joe friends.
There's a reason these guys are undercover and using secret camera.

Get Hoddle in. He might believe in karma and reincarnation (I personally think it was a disgrace for him to lose his job for that) but he's not shady.

He didn't lose his job for believing in reincarnation mate.

This seems fishy. The restaurant in Manchester where it went down was Wings. You may have fooled some, but you've not fooled me, Louis.
