Telegraph Investigation: England Manager Sam Allardyce For Sale | Big Sam leaves England job

When Big Sam was appointed my first thought was it'll take no longer than 4-5 months before he gets sacked because of allegations of corruption.
Any quotes to this effect on the caf, nostradamus?

Hull, Swansea, Stoke, West Ham and Sunderland jobs will all be up for grabs and i doubt would care what he did or didn't do, as long as he keeps them in the league.

That said, it will be hard to see him going back at West Ham..

back to his level.

He will also return writing that article of his

I know but is it a must now for FA to have a domestic coach?
Bilić wouldn't be expensive if that's what they're afraid of.

in this current political atmosphere I guess it is. I mean why would they even contemplate hiring Big Sam if it wasnt for his nationality?

Allardyce back to Sunderland and Moysie sacked if he doesn't this week?

Where did he say the FA are idiots?

I also don't understand why he's not allowed an opinion of Hodgson.

What the national set up badly needs is some transparent and honesty.

Here's what he said:

They [the FA] stupidly spent £870 million on Wembley, so they’re still paying that debt off. They completely rebuilt it. If they’d built it anywhere else, it would have cost about £400 million. They completely floored it and then rebuilt the new stadium which is fabulous, but that sort of debt is not really what you want. Most of the money the FA make will go to the interest on the debt.

They’re all about making money aren’t they? You know the FA’s the richest football association in the world? Well, I shouldn’t say that. They’re not the richest at all. What they do is they have the biggest turnover in the world with £325 million.

The stuff about HMRC is also unbelievable for a person who's the head of the national team. You can't say those things.

The most corrupt business in our country would be what? You’ll be shocked when I tell you this – HMRC.

They fly out tax demands without any real knowledge whether they should or shouldn’t.

They just put ‘em out willy-nilly and if you pay them, people s*** themselves and pay them.

Then they go to their accountant and say, and if you’ve got a s*** accountant, the account s**** himself and says, well you must owe them, you had better pay it.

That's stupid imo.

It is stupid but think about it. Why do you think they went for Big Sam apart from his nationality? This guy is a tactical dinosaur who had never won anything and he had rarely worked with top class players at all. If it was for me England should go for Wenger. Someone who knows the EPL and whose tactical great

Plays professional football....
Goes into football management.....
Always says managing his country would be dream job
Wins one 'trophy' (promotion)
Gets dream job and huge salary (more than German coach, Spanish coach, new Italian coach, Portuguese coach, etc) despite having little success/experience as a top-level manager
Getting paid a fortune to watch/coach football

.
One month in, wants to be the "big I am" and shout his mouth off and try to use his new status to get more money.

Don't feel sorry for him at all.

Do the FA really make such a high turnover? That's fecking phenomenal

That is some grade A conspiracy nonsense right there - well done. Next thing you will be telling me the FA did 9/11.

Why would journalists try and sting the England manager? For a story? For the good of the game? Get a grip.

Bigger powers at play than that.

Don't forget folks there's more to come, wonder who else has been caught out.
Maybe a poll could be arranged just for a bit of fun

Some really strange views here blaming the journalists for Sam being greedy and very stupid .Are they supposed to go well we know he breaks the rules to sit himself but he's England manager so let him do so?

No doubt same people blaming the media think Sir Bradley Wiggins Froome and so are innocent too

That was and still is the most sensible thing to do.

Wenger wouldn't leave Arsenal for England...
Yeh. It's more like a wish. Agreed that if I were Wenger, I'd stay at Arsenal also, as he's already one of the most paid manager in the world. So it's a matter of FA, how much they're willing to 'appreciate' Wenger.

Allardyce back to Sunderland and Moysie sacked if he doesn't this week?

Local press reported Allardyce was considering walking from Sunderland irrespective of the England job due to differences with the board. Not the first to do so tbf.

Imagine getting your dream job then getting sacked a game later. Poor bastard. :(

For a story yes. Your the one who needs to get a grip mate if you honestly think this was a setup by the FA.

Can we say Brian Clough finally has a rival legend of being sacked from somewhere? This is tragi-comedic.
I don't understand this sentence; what do you mean?

I'm trying to get my head around it:

Brian Clough finally has a "rival legend" so Clough and Allardyce are both legends and they are rivals of some sort? "of being sacked from somewhere" so they have both been as sacked? Do you mean to say "Clough and Allardyce are two legends of football management and now both have been sacked at some point in their careers"?

But Allardyce isn't a legend is he? How does he compare to Clough? I don't get it. I just don't get it.
