There are two versions of the Iniesta contract renewal story doing the rounds in Spain.

One says Tata is worried about his fitness and reckons he hasn't got a 5 year contract (on very high pay) left in him. They use the fact he's not starting/finishing games as evidence. However he's never been a two games a week regular, so that's probably just Tata making sure he's ready for the business end of the season. The rumour itself is presumably Barca bosses putting the other side of the argument to his agent's leaks about United etc being interested. Negotiating stuff.

The other one says the new contract is basically done and dusted and will probably be formally announced before Christmas.
