I find it ironic that in talking about Adnan's birthday, they actually get his age wrong.

15m plus Valencia for baines, Jesus. Plus if we were gonna do that, send young away first.

Baines has only 18 months left on his contract in Jan. No way anybody will pay more than 10mil for him.

This they can have young in a flash, I'd rather keep tony

Agreed - I can see Valencia remaining a good option as a squad player for us now that his claims to a starting position have faded so badly, but Young hasn't even shown that in my view.

Bakkali, yes please.

Indeed. However, I can't help thinking that the Andreas Perreira 'situation' may influence him to not come here. He and Perreira were teammates and the stars of the youth team at PSV, and the fact that Bakkali has gone on to become a first-team member and even a full-international now while Perreira has barely played for our reserves may cause him to have doubts.

That said, I think we could do with young quality in the wide areas. Adnan and Bakkali stepping up to replace the likes of Young and Valencia would work, although Bakkali is maybe just a bit too young now.

I'd gladly sacrifice Valencia for Baines. It is a move that will improve us immensely. Evra has gotten a couple of assists, but the overall increased quality of delivery would see us create many more chances. I think it would also allow us to lose the left 'winger'.

problem with that is Everton couldnt afford Young's wages - isn't he on something stupid like 150k a week

If it was a straight swap maybe, or a little cash, that sort of deal is way ott for me. Baines has a better delivery but he can't dribble anywhere near as well as Evra can which is also a big feature of our game. I'd take Baines if the deal is right, but if we were gonna spend pretty big on a fullback I'd rather try and get Shaw if he's keeping up his performance levels by the end of the season.
