This is a hard one... I'd take Mkhitaryan over Embolo but either would be excellent signings. We'll finally be building some strength in depth into the squad too with the likes of Memphis, Januzaj, Pereira looking to prove themselves.

Quick some translate and give me more info, i am getting all giddy and by god i need it, after the POGBACK fiasco.

Great future ahead of him from what I've seen heard.
I said at the beggining of the summer I'd like to see a good young player with some experienced players in. Embolo would be that prospect!

Imagine a future with:

Martial - Rashford - Embolo

and a back up of:

Memphis - Wilson - Januzaj

I'm not complaining at all, who will?

The Muppet don't die!
Very idealistic thought, but six young forward players vying for three first team spots just never happens.

At least one or two of those will be victims of the impending Zlatan and Embolo transfers if they do go through. Personally I hold very little hope for Januzaj and wouldn't care if he was sold, likewise for Memphis. Actually if we hold onto one of those second three I hope its Wilson.

Maybe I am being greedy but I'd take both.
LvG thinned the squad out and we need to get some of that depth back. Embolo can play anywhere across the front line, although rw is his primary position.
Mkhi can play LW #10 RW so it'd give us great options as well as youth and a player at the top of his game.

Especially is Mata left

Right who is this Embolo guy, and why is he so highly rated when on here?
Physical specimen from what I've seen. Unbelievably quick with great power. He's very Raw ofcourse and inconsistent , but very direct. Him on the right wing would make sense, since it goes with Mourinho's ethos.

I can see all 3 being the club next season and personally I would love to asses them with a clean slate under José. Besides, we are in the EL, and if reports are true that he intends to give youngsters game time in the competition, why not?

Kalidou Koulibaly admits that he thinks he will leave Napoli & drops an Antonio Conte sized hint about his future

Lads all ye need to know is, embolo is a machine on Fifa and has potential to go up to 90. That is good enough for me :drool: on a more serious note he is apparently a very talented striker/right inside forward

I bought him on FM in Jan of the first season for 15m and ended up having to sell him in the summer for his 42m buyout clause
#Profit

Never accept buy out clauses in contract negatiations ;)

The other Swiss outlets are just quoting 20min.ch . But if they claim they have exclusive information they got briefed by the Shaqiri camp. I have no doubt about that. I really think it is EmbolOn.

I was Southampton. To be fair, so early in the game, it was a great fee for me, didn't expect anybody to pay that

Yes it also happened to me once, never again ha! Just remove it and offer a bit more money :p

From Reddit:

"Just a side note: Embolo's agent is Xherdan Shaqiri's brother. I would rate the source as very reliable, 20Min usually only cites other sources for transfer rumors but here they claim to have own information which they hardly ever do. Switzerland is a small country so it's not unlikely some information got to them from a source near the agent."

He'll blood young players in the early stages of the EL for sure, but when it gets to beyond the group and latter stages I've no doubt we will see strong first elevens from Mourinho.

Personally, I don't think we can allocate sufficient game time to keep all six happy, especially when we'll likely have Ibra on top of that as well as players like Lingard. It would be overkill. The reality is that Januzaj has done nothing for two years now - both here and on loan at Dortmund - while Wilson is also unlikely seize first-team opportunity with the competition for places.

I'd foresee at least two departures of there are two incoming, whether that sales, loans or a mix of both.

Wow, this article is frighteningly accurate regarding the price. Either that or the 20 mins people got the quotes from here.
http://www.manchestereveningnews.co...hester-united-transfers-breel-embolo-11081066

Who is he?
Born on February 14, 1997, which makes him 19.

He was born in Yaounde, Cameroon, but moved to Basel as a young boy and represents Switzerland at international level.

How does he play?
A speedy and clever forward who could bolster United's attack, adding pace, power and trickery to the squad.

He looks good on the ball and makes clever runs in behind, as well as being able to finish when he gets the opportunity.

How good is he?
One of the best young prospects in Europe, Embolo made his first-team debut aged just 17 and scored 10 goals from 26 appearances in his first full season in the Swiss league. He clearly has the potential to be joining bigger clubs in the near future.

How much would he cost?
In the region of £20m.

 That Zlatan house story. "We struggled a bit at the beginning because Manchester is not Paris, nor Milan. Zlatan couldn’t understand that the architectural style can’t be the same..."

No way we are getting Nani back, he's rubbish!
Rather have Luke Chadwick back....

So, let me get this right.

Player who is about to sign for another club, out of nowhere is suddenly linked to united from one single source who hapoens to have their source being....his agent.

I mean, i'm no cynic, but could you imagine if an agent thought of using united to get a better deal for his client?

Could you imagine if that worked? i mean...it would happen all the time then!

Good job everyone would obviously see through that

As excited as I would by Embolo joining United, I fear you maybe right :(. He even turned down the contract offer from Leipzig according to reports.

Won't get excited about the Embolo rumours until there are more (reputable) sources reporting it.
