At their best matic was far better and this has nothing to do with stats, he is far more confident on the ball ,has better vision, reading of the game and can even dribble.
Matic actually has more ability than Schneiderlin ,is not even up for debate especially for a team that is expected to have more of the ball in majority of the games.
If you take Schneiderlin back to southampton he will instantly look good but for a team that sees more of the ball,with less space in front,with less defensive actions and has to use the ball more often,Matic trumps him all day.

Schneiderlin was average but he was one of the best players just before joining us. He was never a player who will sit in the front of the back four and LVG didnt used him to his strengths.

If he is given freedom to close down players and won the ball , we will see a different Schneiderlin. He will a box to box player with more defensive style .

Ronney adapting to mid position ? are you serious ? If nobody is with in 5 meters of rooney then he will be good at mid . Thats all. Once a team start to press then he will be useless

We need someone with more ability on the ball than Matic, if Schneiderlin can get back to his best he will be ok for the more defensive role.

EDIT: Not to mention if Matic plays like last season, we'll be fecked

Obviously, it depends on how you define 'big', but I would have thought that there can't be that much in it in terms of support. Just because they have a sugar daddy, that doesn't make them a big club. Next you'll be telling us that City is a big massive club.

Let's hope this is true! The Bailly transfer came out of nowhere too. Hopefully someone can confirm if the source is reliable.

Yeah the recent tweets from them are all pretty serious too. Swiss-based, so you have to assume they would be well-placed to know... Please let it be true!

Because van Gaal didn't used him properly. The games where he did, he was outstanding. Rooney like you said is new to the position, but he's been pretty average to tell you the truth, but ofcourse he will get better (Well hopefully anyway).
