If we ever sign Messi I will run from Tower Hill to Monument station in nothing but my boxers and a custom red cafe baseball cap shouting "eureka". And i really hope we sign him.

Pfft the joggers I see on that route wear close to that anyway. You hero you. :P

can this shit stop? Messi is better. It's no longer a debate. Football has moved on from Maradonna but has yet to catch up to Messi.

Messi hasn't won anything without them greatest midfield of a generation playing behind him.

He's fantastic obviously but I'd rather Neymar at this point in their careers. Not that we have a real chance at either.

If this happened Woodward should have streets in Manchester named after him, a stand named after him at OT, even at £150M it would be worth it but let's be honest, it just won't.

Are you for real? 2014/15 called, they won the treble.

Last time I checked there are no specific criteria for greatest of all time, it's an opinion so climb back in your box and wind your neck in .

Well said. We all know Ronaldo's the best anyway ;)

Been wondering why more clubs haven't been linked with this guy.

As a sidenote this might end their interest in Marquinhos?

Probably just us and City willing to fork out the silly sum PSG likely will want.

We're fecking with Barcelona if that's true.

Drive up the wages of both Neymar and Messi in the hope they decide that finances dictate it's got to be one or the other :D

It's not a matter of money, PSG just don't want to sell.

Guardian also mentions 220k per week which is about right. Far from the 600k per week our rivals seem to think we're going to pay. At 220k a week the deal is risk free considering the revenue he will make us from merchandise and the feel-good factor he will bring to the club. This is without even considering the impact he will have in the dressing room and on the pitch.

Swedish newspapers are shit. They have no sources, they just copy what other European journos are saying. Hell, a week ago they thought Zlatan was returning to Malmö just because of a silly thing he said. I would stick to the British papers (bad as they may be) on this one.

It amazes me how players like Neymar and Griezmann can even consider the french league at this stage of their careers.
It might not be true. Most of the stuff on tweets and tabloids spout turd constantly. Many of we United fans correctly scoff at ridiculous rumours regarding our club/players, changing the name of the player/club should not change the reaction to the rumour- it's still probably nonsense.

I'll follow behind banging a massive drum wearing nothing but clogs, elephant briefs and a sandwich board. The caf can run a contest to have whatever message on the sandwich board.
