What happened?
On the pitch
- Overweight
- Few times too late to training

Off the pitch
- He had a girl at his hotel room before the England vs Germany match (November 2013)....that was the main reason why he wasn't in the World Cup squad.
- He had lost/forgotten £60,000 worth of poker winnings in the back seat of a taxi in Berlin (October 2015).....that is not so good during the VW scandal.
- The sex video (March 2016)
- Trouble at his birthday party in Berlin with a female BILD journalist.....she has photographed him and then he has taken her phone to delete all images (March 2016)
- Löw has banned him from the national team (April 2016).

Don't Arsenal have enough players like him. A good CB would serve them better.

They were reportedly after Mahrez. Draxler would be a cheaper winger for them.

Makes sense to lift the burden from Ozil/Sanchez a bit. If they purchase Draxler and Lacazette it takes a lot of pressure off Wenger.

Eh, no they don't. Campbell, Walcott & Chamberlain are all poor-average players. Draxler would be a vast improvement on their other options. Would also mean they can play Sanchez on his favoured position out on the right.

CB & ST are still their most important positions to strengthen though obviously.

I know AS are rubbish, but here you go. It's their own story, not from "English press" or that usual thing.

I find it hard to believe they'd announce Pogba on the same day as Rooney's testimonial. It seems completely disrespectful to overshadow his testimonial with that announcement. The opposite of the point of a testimonial.

Disrespectful is a bit strong. They've been plugging this game via social media every day, multiple times per day, for weeks now. I'm not sure how much more plugging they can do. Would a few more tweets on the day of the game really bring in many tickets? At that point the money raised is all done and dusted, social media going into a Pogba frenzy doesn't change anything.

Anyway, AS aren't the best source. My guess (and it is a guess) is that he might fly in tomorrow but the medical/contract signing/announcement will be Thursday.

Huh?

To be fair we would all be talking about pogba and not talking about Wayne Rooney and his highly decorated career as a Manchester united player. It would over shadow his day. The testimonial is his day. Pogba can come anytime.

How much the game gets plugged beforehand isn't really relevant to my point. Tomorrow should be Rooney's day. The purpose of a testimonial, as far as I'm concerned anyway, is for the club to show its appreciation to a long serving player. Announcing Pogba on the same day would take all the focus and would therefore be direspectful, imo.

Anyway as you say, not much of a source and I doubt very much it'll happen.
I don't know how I can explain it any better than above.

Confirming Pogba in what is the worlds worst kept secret (and I thought Zlatan to us was hard to beat) won't take away anything away from Rooney's 90 minutes tomorrow.

Who is this about?

Wow. Villa will end up mid table at best in the champo at this rate. I mean McCormack is alright and I know they need a goalscorer but that is big moolah for only a decent player. Meanwhile their remaining half decent players are all going.

We won't, but we should be going for this. Draxler is a fantastic player and will become even better. He'll be a hugely important signing for whoever pulls it off.

Put it this way, if we signed him I'd be at least as excited as I will be if Pogba signs. If Arsenal sign him he'll become their best player.
