I am literally wondering what possible footballing scenario would have Pogba in that aerial position in that specific pose with the ball being where it is. Looks like he has been superimposed into that picture

Jumped for the ball and couldn't control it or went over him is what I would I say

C'mon Jose,

Snatch him from City!

Do a Fergie - kidnap him from the airport and take him to Carrington just like Berbatov.

I'd rather not actually. he's a good player but I doubt he'll be worth the money. Would prefer we went for Draxler if we needed a winger.

Sane was available though, that's the difference.

Draxler is categorically unavailable. You would need to make an offer of about double that to get Wolfsburg thinking. They've already sold one of their starting wingers this summer.

Must admit, I hadn't looked into it much, but I also think Mkhitarayan and Martial would keep him out anyway.

No thanks.
Both Sky and the Mail are reporting a £30m fee, that's a bargain for someone with his potential and great negotiation on City's part, we should be all over this deal at that price.

Its disappointing to see Sane move to City. He's one of the brightest young players in Germany and has huge potential. I am surprised that his abilities are being dismissed by some. We should have made a move for him.Even if we had Miki and Martial we lack depth in the forward areas.

Lingard is ok and it looks like Adnan is set to leave so we definitely could have signed him. I do wonder though on how many games he gets at City what with them also in contention to sign Gabriel Jesus and Marlos Moreno.

Kicker says €50m (£42,3m), I'd trust them over the British media any day of the week.

Kicker is also stating that the add-ons are easily reachable and claim that the fee could even climb higher "after a while due to even more add-ons".

They will be loaned out i read or not joining this season, but the next or something.

That makes sense, but then I don't think that's such a smart move. The clubs they loan them to, don't really have a huge interest in their development do they? To a certain extent yes, but not to the level where they care about the player enough that they work on the player in a detailed level. They could simply make the said player ride the bench if he isn't up to scratch.

We have certainly been on the receiving end in such loan deals haven't we? Rossi to Newcastle, Adnan to Dortmund come to my mind as a couple of examples.

He's an exceptional talent and we can play him on the right, move Mikhi to number 10, bench Rooney. I would much rather have his as an option on the right than Lingard even if he isn't going to be a starter straight away for us.

This. We should have made a move for him. As I mentioned we don't have good depth in the attacking areas and if the price is indeed 30M then Sane was definitely attainable.

There is no doubt though that Pep was a big factor in Sane moving to City so I don't know if he would have come to us even if made an offer.

Just to add, City have made a smart move with the addition of Sane. In my view he has been bought to take over from Silva who I believe is 30 now.

We can already play Rashford on the right, and Rashford is an exceptional talent too.

Buying Sane would take our spending to near enough £200m, and we still need defensive signings.

It would be quite ironic if our dithering meant we overpaid for Fellaini under Moyes and then Moyes signs him from us, most likely for a pittance
I think the Mail said we wanted £20m for Fellaini (and £25m for Januzaj). If true, it looks like we're trying not to sell for a pittance anymore.

We should loan Januzaj but keep Fellaini. Jose would know how to use him properly. Right now, he is clearly ahead of Herrera based on last year's performance.

Selling Fellaini for 30m and buying Matuidi for 25m would be the best way to go.

That's an improvement on past outgoings although I can't see anyone paying £25m for Januzaj based on the last 2 seasons

Failaini did good at Everton under Moyes. Seems good business, especially at a Sunderland side.

Season loan for Januzaj sounds good.

No way Moyes and Sunderland will offer anything like enough money to tempt Mourinho to sell Fellaini though. Non starter.
