This quote is quite clear. They are in for him as I suspected all along and will be trying to coerce the player into playing hardball to lower his price for them.

If it genuinely looks like we're buying him they'll need to decide whether to pay the full price. I still fully expect this to go on and on until eventually Madrid are forced to act and get the deal done in a day or two.
 
:D That's a far call from Kevin Gameiro and Luciano Vietto.

If it's anything like every other season Real will buy him on Aug31rst for a lot less than the prices we have seen ourselves quoted .. They will probably get him for 80 million..

They seem to confident and how the player wants to join them
 
£20m signing from a Championship team. Even with Pogba and Higuain fees, this must be the craziest one...

They are signing some of Jorge Mendes clients including Pele & Silvio from Benfica as well

I'd guess around £75m but yeah, I'm expecting something similar.

So somehow they'll persuade Juve to turn down our 100m bid, and accept a 75m bid for the same player who has 3 years left on his contract.

I suppose theyd want similar to. Gomes fee for mario.

Very good deal, but not the player for us imo.

A) we really don't seem to be after anyone else after Pogba or a CM, especially after Jose's 25% comments. Maybe a promising youngster, but no one for the first team.
B) If we were to go for someone else, an experienced CB would be ideal.
 
£20m seems fair, but I wouldn't really want him.

No, they only have to convince the player to say he wants to go there only. After that they wait and then come in later in the window with an offer of £75m with add-ons or players moving the other way. They are unlikely to pay £100m unless it gets really desperate.
