Muppet down in aisle 3. Muppet down in aisle 3.
I wasn't aware that Raiola owned 20% of Pogba I thought it was a 20% cut of transfer fee, if this is the case then Raiola is free to negotiate his own payment for his share in Pogba!
The overreactions on Twitter are priceless. Chelsea fans thought they were signing Mahrez!
Whats the difference. In simple terms, whatever Juve want, Raiola gets 20% of it. If Juve wanted to sell us Pogba for 10m, he would get 2m from it.
The way I see it is, Juve are saying "We want 100m euros, but because 20% of it is owed to Raiola, we need you guys to pay us 125m so we can get our 100m and give Raiola his 20% (25m)"
Last bid we have heard from Di Mazio is us paying Juve 110m euros, Raiola takes 22m from that and then Juve keep 88m. But we also added 10m in bonuses so Juve could end up with 98m euros in total. That seems like a pretty fair fecking deal to me and I cant believe Juve don't want to take it!
It makes a massive difference because Raiola would have to sell his share to us so we wouldn't have this hassle of who pays his fee, plus in the PL I'm not sure it's allowed to have 3rd party owners so if he was a 20% share holder then he hasn't got the option to keep hold of his share and is forced to sell, so if Madrid came in (not sure of Spanish rules) he could have the option of keeping his share. So it does make a difference.Whats the difference. In simple terms, whatever Juve want, Raiola gets 20% of it. If Juve wanted to sell us Pogba for 10m, he would get 2m from it.

And the thing is Raiola can negotiate with Juve to settle that 20% for less than the actual 20%
If Juve get €120m, it is possible Raiola takes just €15m and says it is ok for him. It is better than losing out on the transfer because of it and getting nothing at all.
The best way to describe is Juve owes something to Raiola if a transfer happens, how the transfer will happen and what Juve will owe him is all up for discussion between them.
3rd party ownerships aren't allowed in Italy either. Whats this about Chavs and Mahrez
No idea, but when the initial troll tweet went up, the majority of responses were things like "announce Mahrez"
Kudos, Chelsea twitter...manager?
I mean in terms of this deal it doesnt make much difference. There is no set price for Pogba for us to 'buy out' Railoas share. We have to dance to Juventus tune until they and Railoa sort it out.
Seems like we dont want to go above this 110+10 offer. So Juve and Raiola are deciding how much they each take from that before concluding the deal. Im guessing we will up it a little to 115 so Raiola can take 15 and Juve keep 100 if it comes to it.
I bet the next time Railoa does one of these sell on % deals he will include a minimum amount to avoid this issue happening again.
Same here, probably the most boring United summer saga I can remember, and there have been plenty. Sick of these 2 month long mini-drama's every summer.Getting tired of this whole situation now, almost so much i'm not bothered if he comes or not.
yesGdS is reliable?
And "number of hours" doesn't always mean literally a few hours on the continent, does it?
How can he be owned 20% of the transfer fee unless he owns 20% of the player rights ? Anyway it doesn't matter it all boils down to the same thing, he is owned 20% in case of a transfer but that can be renegotiated between him and Juve, which is exactly what is going on right now I think.
There is just a fee we United want to pay for Pogba all rights included. Juve and Raiola now negotiating how they will split up that fee to cover up both ends, as Juve be wanting €120m, it seems the fee don't cover both ends. So Raiola trying to get Juve to accept a deal for less than €120m on their part, he will probably also back down a little on his part and maybay we United will have to increase our offer by a bit more but not to the full €145m which seems to be required right now.
Maybay we'll get some where we pay total of €130m, Juve takes €115m and Raiola takes €15m.
Because Pogba's contract with Juve has a clause which sees him entitled to 20% of any future transfer fee. Raiola does not own any player rights on Pogba. It's not allowed in Italy in any event. The clause is actually a very standard clause which is inserted where players sign for clubs (usually on a free like Pogba) and where the initial signing on bonus is low. The clause then covers the player and the agent to recoup their 'signing on bonus' when a future transfer happens. This 'clause' is even on the Football Manager game where it can be added to a player's contract. The only reason it has been an issue here is because the actual transfer fee is huge (€120m) which means the %20 is huge (€24m). If Juve had to pay it then they'd be left with €96m only. They don't want that and are asking United to ensure they get their full €120m.
All comes down to the same thing, not ?
Is it just me who thinks the transfer window has been poor thus far? hasn't really got going.. think we are looking for less spent this summer then previous summers, strangely enough.
The irony is that it has risen nearly every summer the totalizer spent by clubs.. so you think with the TV money it would atleast rise massively again.
I suppose if things stop dicking around with Pogba and hurry up and get him signed that will help.

I do not know if he'll come , until 31 August can happen. Everyone interested Pogba is a great player and when you're the Madrid always want the best. But today is not Madrid player is Juventus . I can not say anything more
Agents...I like the implication that football players are too thick to think about more than one offer at once.
Jamie Jackson is one pointless mofo.
If the rumours are true, that we have bid 100m euro and 15m euro agent fees, then we havent broken any world records in terms of fees for a player transaction, this would then entice Madrid as Bale as an attacking player would still be more expensive which is worrying.
The only saving grace in all of this is if Raiola freaks out about his fee again because not a chance Madrid will accept to pay the agent fee to him as Perez is reportedly not a fan at all.
Unfortunately I see this dragging out for another week now. If the Madrid interest is real he will go there and there will need to be another week of negotiating.
