RvN, RvPTrue. Anyone else of note? I really can't think of any to go on to be that good in recent times.

They moved 15 and 12 years ago respectively. Can't really suggest that strikers from the Dutch league tend to do well when you have only two examples from that far back. Suarez of course is a brilliant example.RvN, RvP
Yeah, that's the only two I thought of. But kind of too long ago to consider them in conversations relevant to recent strikers from the Dutch league I think. If you went far enough, then RvN or RvP.
Apart from that, I am not sure to be honest
I didn't say recently, you added that yourself. They moved 15 and 12 years ago respectively. Can't really suggest that strikers from the Dutch league tend to do well when you have only two examples from that far back. Suarez of course is a brilliant example.
Surely any conversation about strikers coming to the prem from the Dutch league and doing well has to involve recent transfers. Otherwise what's the point? Holds no contextual relevance.I didn't say recently, you added that yourself.

They are recent eitherI guess that's true, but surely there's been a few. I just thought of that Alves for Borough and Kezman who were both pretty crap. I'm guessing there were a few more too.
They are recent either
I thought of Alves. Still managed to stick two past us mind. There is also the lad at Newcastle whose name I can't spell. He started on fire and tailed off quickly as their season turned to chaos. I still think he could score a fair amount in the right side. I guess you could count Kuyt too depending on what you argue his position is.
Anyway, back on point, I think Janssen is a good signing.
Are you referring to Wijnaldum?I thought of Alves. Still managed to stick two past us mind. There is also the lad at Newcastle whose name I can't spell. He started on fire and tailed off quickly as their season turned to chaos.
De gea and navas
Mundo Deportivo: Real have "decided" to keep Morata and not listen to offers anymore (they are citing AS though). "Decided", yeah sure More like no one wanted to pay the stupid amount they asked for him.
Guillem Balague: "He is going to Manchester United."

It seems a sensible thing to do. If he doesn't do well you don't lose anything, but if he does both clubs benefit.I hope we have procured a big cut of any sell-on. We should do this for all our young players and especially promising ones like Reid.
Petit seems such a bitter ABU - Ballbag is actually much more realistic about the whole situation."He talks absolute shit, the complete and utter ball bag. Wait, it's news that I want to believe...yay, he's signing!!!"

Keys responding to a tweet if he still thinks it is a done deal....get the impression he has slightly changed his stance in case the deal falls through.

I don't care for sell-on policies. The aim should be to develop players and launch their careers, and a big part of that is getting them to a club where they can prosper. Making money out of youth development kind of deflects from the whole purpose.
Why would young players choose to come if they know we're going to apply conditions whenever we decide to part company?Really don't understand this. Money from our youth products helps pay for the youth system and has no negative impact on the players. It is simple financial sense for the club.
