not blaming you. Just tired of modern journalism. it gets wrose every transfer window. The once happy and excited Muppet inside me won't eat anymore and just sits in the corner rocking gently in the dark listening to Taylor Swift backwards.

Ducker and Ogden reporting the same thing, without quoting one another, makes it sound like they've been briefed.
I might be missing something here but why would United brief jouros on a transfer ? I get when it's a big change i.e. the manager or structure changes at the club but a transfer, seems a bit pointless.

I know a large number of people on the Caf are obsessed with claiming every story is made up, or somehow unreliable, but all that shows is a profound misunderstanding of how football journalism works. Do some of them make up or embellish the odd story? Almost certainly. But the half decent ones generally don't need to, as they have every fecker close to these deals chatting to them on the side, giving him their version of the story. They may write the stories knowing that they may have been given the story with a particular end in mind - see Duncan Castles, for example - but once it comes from a good source they'll run with it. So, yeah, the story won't have quotes, but if it's come from two different, reputable hacks the same evening, you can bet someone's been talking, even if what they had to say was told to the journo with another agenda in mind.

There could obviously be thousands of reasons, but off the top of my head I'd say that briefing the media that we've a deal that we are confident of closing shortly might dissuade other potential suitors (ie Real) to try to hijack the deal.

Maybe the side effect is that Zidane freaks out, he begs Perez to move forward quickly etc etc.

Thank you! Same thing is said every summer. Ducker and Ogden are on the more reliable side

But that would mean Real Madrid(One of the worlds biggest clubs) get their transfer updates by reading the the telegraph or the independent, they've clearly have certain problems(dodgy fax machines for a start)but I image their transfer connections are bit better than Mark Ogden from the Independent .

That's not to say jouro's weren't told something by the club, just that I struggle to see who benfits from it(Well part from the jouro's of course)

Lol that's ridiculous do you really think people like those who run these big clubs are that dumb? "Oh we want Pogba but some journalists say it's a done deal so let's not bother contacting his agent or Juventus."

Paris Saint-Germain are showing interest in Manchester United midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger. (Source: Daily Mail)

Bastian for Verrati or fek off.

Why do i have a feeling we are going to trade Bastian for Matuidi and end up having to add some money to that? PSG would have bastian, verrati and possibly james rodriguez as midfield.
I'd rather keep him, if he can stay fit we'd have a killer midfield with:

Bastian --- Pogba
------Morgan-----

Or maybe

Bastian --- Pogba
------Matuidi-----

Basically says Juventus playing hardball and dont want to sell. negotiations still going on.

Also if im not mistaken it says that there is no official offer from United yet but it is expected from monday after the Euros. Basically Juventus intend to keep their crown jewels.

More like it's to respect Pogba and France so they can focus about their Euro campaign. We were just to show our true intention/interest and ready to offer, not just papertalk.

Would a L'equipe journo even know about that knucklehead?

Yes. All journalists scour the forums and Twitter for stories. They'll have come across that today, no doubt.

if Juventus doesn't nail the chairs to the floor, one of them is getting a steel chair shot to the head. Bah gawd, business is about to pick. Mino! Mino! Mino!
