Yeah I don't think he's great either. And I rate Monreal quite highly, so it's a bit of an odd transfer.
From what ive seen of him he's been solid. His kicking may be That good but he looks calm, has a great CS record with a decent defence infront of him. I rarely see him flap, and at 28 he's probably coming into his peak years. He's massive aswell. I like him.
He's a higher calibre of player then Monreal, one of the best LB's in the world, certainly top 5.
It's far from odd, it's a great transfer at that value.

I am basing my rating of him on the 2015 barca CL games, where he seemed fantastic. Not seen him play since.

When we were first linked with Jose this was the first player I though of him signing, but we are rarely linked with him.

In my opinion if we get both of them, then we would have done tremendous business, strengthening midfield and defence for about 55 miillion pounds.
