Summer Transfer Tweets 2016

Would be a good signing for any team, but at about 50m for a 28yr old, it hardly represents value for money. Hence can't see the lfc committee going for it.

A couple of years ago there was a stat floating around showing that no team had won the CL in about ten years with a main striker over 28 or 29. It really is a position where youth dominates these days. Aside from a few freaky exceptions (Zlatan, Ronaldo), I think peak years for a CF are 24-27. Whereas for most other positions it's more like 26-29. If we spend big money on a forward this year, I hope he's no older than 25.

therefore the language of the tweet wouldn't make much of a difference? anyway we are past that, if an English version is available it should be posted.

Oh yeah good point! But yes, my point was more that english translations should be posted. Thought posting the text of a tweet was a rule actually.

My Sunderland supporting mate is convinced Pickford, rather than Butland, will be England's long term no1 after Joe Hart.

The only replacement we should be considering for De Gea is Forster in my opinion.

He may have improved but at Celtic he was lacking certain attributes and his kicking was atrocious.

Andre Gomes seems like a taller, stronger, faster version of Isco with quicker feet..... I'm sold. Can he play CAM?

Would rather take butland. Or that blonde chap from barca. Ter stegan? I thought he was great last season.

It was abysmal for England against Australia the other night too

Ter Stegen yesterday:

Honestly don't understand how he's highly rated. Bit of a mystery to me, he's pretty average and has shown himself to be a bit shit at the whole goalkeeping thing at Barcelona. I guess because he has ok distribution and can play football a bit he's rated highly. But at the whole... goalkeeping thing he's a bit rubbish.

Don't get the Forster fuss. He is poor. Just big. Looks a bag of nerves when he has to use his feet, kicking is crap and is 6ft 7in and must weigh loads but unable to dominate his box. Not the one at all.
