People can judge players, but after 3 games it's a little bit ridiculous. Alot of players have not turned up at this chamipionship. Some of them World class players. Hardly makes them a bad player... and suddenly because it looks like Embolo is joining Schalke, he's a bad player.

I don't see it as ridiculous. It's just an opinion based on 3 games and limited information... because that's all we've got to go on.

I don't think anyone is suggesting he doesn't have a chance of becoming a good player based on these few games. Just that based on the limited information we have he doesn't look ready for United.

Could very well be wrong, but who cares? Opinions on a football forum don't affect anything.

Sounds like a load of shit. From October 2014 to September 2015 City paid £12.4m in agent fees. In that period we signed Bony, Sterling, Delph, Roberts, Otamendi and de Bruyne. Yet we're supposed to believe Aubameyang's agent is asking for what, nearly £8m alone? And City will not pay around £175k a week on a player we'd have to be spending a likely club record fee on? Laughably bad journalism.

This is what Fergie said about Hazard deal.
"What we're finding anyway, the climate for buying these top players - not just the transfer fees, the salaries, agents' fees - is just getting ridiculous now.
"In the Hazard deal, Chelsea paid the agent £6m. The (Samir) Nasri situation was the same.

So Auba's agent asking for 8 Million is not unrealistic.

Thats well more than 30m pounds.
If Mourinho really really wants the player, we should pay the money. But if he is just one of the players on Joses list for this position we should just move on. No need to drag this on the whole summer. He is good, but not that good to risk losing on other targets.

In what sense? Many people would of seen him play much more than 3 times. For people to write him off after only seeing him play in 3 games is ridiculous. Many players have not turned up at this championship.
Not all of us are just judging him on just 3 games. He has been abysmal over those three games, but they are people who weren't impressed even before that.

Considering how little the number of hyped youngsters actually go on to be superstars,It's actually statistically more ludicrous to hear people proclaim that he will definitely make it.

That's not even considering this three games where he has looked like someone having his first encounter with a football.

Very few peoe are writing him off. A lot are saying he is Not presently good enough to play United ,or shown traits to attract the club into a purchase.

Its roughly £30m.

Whilst appreciating this is still too high given he's in final year of contract, we did pay this much for Depay

Depay's fees was €27.5m + addons and last year's exchange rate makes it close to £20m

Fair enough. Fair to say this target is easily worth £10m more than that.

Depay we paid 24m pounds and youre talking as if we sold him for a loss of 20m. I still have the confidence it will be worth it what we spent.

Its good to see some have confidence - I think he played Championship standard and would make Stoke level at best.

Just pay the 30 million to secure the player, it's not like we're struggling for money is it.

If we don't pay it, someone else will.

Why has no club bid that amount, then?

Would be a good signing although I think there are more pressing issues that right back. Valencia would be my first choice next season as he's been good there the last 2 seasons in my opinion.

I think Azpi could probably regain his form if we were to use him back at RB. Only if the price is right though, I really don't think the need for him is that pressing at all.

Valencia should only be used as a backup, for me he is no more than a squad/utility player.

So, Conte wants Darmian presumably, and Mou might want Azpilicueta. A swap like this would be well beyond weird and surprising.

Would you guys want it to happen though? Curious as to who you'd prefer.

I'll be astounded if any Chelsea player is allowed to join Mourinho, without paying an astronomical fee.

I think Damian can and will improve, but Azpilicueta is premier league proven player and would slot right in.
Quite close to what i'm thinking i'd say. Uncertainties is regarding what kind of RB want to complement our back 4. I'd guess Azpilicueta is faster, while Darmian is a bit taller.

Damien has been somewhere between average and poor for us all season while Az has prior proven himself one of the best fullbacks in the league. Obviously as a United fan you wouldn't mind swapping a dud for a stud, but Chelsea would have to be wearing their pants on their head to go ahead with such a switch.

I'd love to buy James or Kroos. My only issue is them negotiating with us considering the De Gea fiasco etc

And by or, I mean, I'd like them both, obviously Kroos out of the two

-- Kroos - Morgan --
Mhki - James - Martial
--------Zlatan----------

Wouldn't say no

Absolutely not.

That's according to The Sun, so nothing to see here.

edit: just checked Sun's article. Absolute garbage - as expected. They're saying we'll go after Ramsey if we fail to sign Mkhitaryan.

I mean they do play the exact same position. I think if we fail on Ramsey we should try to go for Ramos again to fill that whole.

He is having a great Euro. Given that his contract was up in 2018, i mean the last with United, it actually would have been much better if we loaned him to Fener and sold him (i do think that he still would not have made it here) this summer.
It's not like we even did get a somehwat decent fee, less than a 5m, that was an idiotic deal no matter how you look at it.
