Television Succession

"Just tell them they can shove their petrodollars up their human rights record"

I would strongly doubt that, when nan said she wasn't taking another bid, logan told Tom to tell her he'd beat it, and the kids weren't on the phone at that time so it seems massively unlikely that logan would be doing this just to bait the kids, then trying to get Tom to beat their bid
I don’t know it just felt weird and the win they think they got over Logan just seemed far too easy and almost engineered by him.

Either way I think something will go wrong with their bud and they won’t end up taking over Pierce

I thought it was more to show logan's bitterness. Look at how he acted when he was bidding for pierce in season 2, he told the kids money wins, he just kept saying bigger numbers but when the kids do the same thing and beat him, he calls them fecking morons

Spoiler shit like this.

Why are we putting stuff in spoilers? The show has already been on TV, and it's a thread about that show, who's coming in here not expecting spoilers? It would be like going into a match thread on game day and asking people to spoiler their posts so you can watch it MOTD later without knowing the results. If you're in this thread it's to discuss the show

The first episode only dropped a few hours ago. That's why you see multiple spoilers being used.

It's not difficult to create a spoiler; in fact, there are two ways to do it.

Great to see the one liners are still strong as ever. A good half dozen belters.

Roman finishing his call to Kerry: "ok you can pop it back in your mouth, we're getting on the plan"

But why are people who haven't seen the episode yet coming into the succession thread? It seems a bit odd. I can understand spoilering something from the last of us if it came from the game, or game of thrones if it came from the book. But not for a TV show that is only a TV show.

It's not difficult to stay out of the thread til you watch the latest episode either

Here's the spoiler policy for this forum

- spoiler tags do not need to be used if the episode has been shows on television anywhere in the world AND the thread title relates to the TV show in question.
- If you haven't watched the latest episode keep out of the thread. There are lots of places to check the broadcast dates of programs are e.g. TV.com and Wikipedia.

It's simple common courtesy.

Look above at the posts discussing the premier. Anything mentioning the show that literally dropped mere hours ago is spoilered out of courtesy. Why don't you give it a try?

Why don't you look at my post above with the actual spoiler policy where it says once the episode has aired you don't need to spoiler, instead of trying to be a mini mod in this thread

Are they releasing it one episode a week or dropped all? If the former, I'll have to wait till they're all out and binge. I can do with waiting a week for each episode

One per week, so it will be May before you get on it. Always a risk though, considering how popular the show is and being heavily talked about.

Even this morning (after watching the episode before work), I saw people talking about it online with spoilers.

To be fair mate the spoiler policy has always been the same, it the episode has aired and you’ve not seen it just keep out of the thread until you have.

Greg is the funniest character on all television. I love this show, glad it is back.

Roman was the character who made the most sense this episode...could not have predicted it in the pilot.

Was rewatching with my wife and realised that Logan asking for a jokes due the scene being too dry was a direct nod to Roman not being there.

Oh and “sucking his omelette nipples”

fecking hell that was hilarious tv. So good. Still the best show on tv.

“Oh that was just my sister saying we’d hear you better if you took our dads dick out of your mouth”

Shiv is great. I think I like her more than Kendall and Roman. She is a cnut though.

Btw, I think they overpaid for Nan's company, this could be a start of their demise.

It’s a blatant plot point imo. All three were out with their new company only to treat billions like numbers just to win and gain revenge.

I thought the obvious time jump at the start jarring for some reason. Normally they pick up immediately where the last ended and I felt a little robbed of an immediate confrontation between Tom and Shiv. The episode got better as it went though.

its one of the strengths of the show I find, you have to fill in so many blanks and form your own conclusions. Like, where did Roman’s non intercourse having girlfriend go?!
