Suarez

After the way a load of One eyed Liverpool fans have backed him through all manner of ill behaviour, him taking them to court to leave would be just too good.

This is all quite classless from Suarez, even more so when you consider the backing the club and fans have controversially shown him. To go to court against us would confirm he really doesn't give a feck to be honest.

Needs to take a leaf out of Gareth Bale's book.

Doesn't matter. You all should stand by him.

T-shirts won't cut it this time. Hoodies with pictures front and back at the very least.

The reaction would be interesting if The Corrupt FA find in Liverpool's favour.

I'm not usually one for rivalry-based schadenfreude but it is amusing that Liverpool fans are somehow surprised that this is how it's going to end.

I still think he's staying and he won't take court action just to go to Arsenal.

Wenger has come out and said he wants Suarez but only if he can sign "amicably" though I think he's lying as usual.

Anyone expecting loyalty from a modern-day footballer is fecking stupid IMO.

Not expecting loyalty; a player like him should be playing in the CL, no doubt about it. But the way he's approached the whole affair has been distasteful.

Anyway, this'll do more to break ties with the fans than anything else. I'm still fairly confident he won't move to Arsenal and by all accounts, he hasn't got a leg to stand on in court.

He also rolled out this perennial favourite:

"We want to spend it if it strengthens our team. Just spending the money is not a quality. Spending the money, buying the right players, that's a quality, of course. If you can give me names who are better than the players we have currently, I am ready to talk about it."

Yes KM...he's clearly getting stupid. He just chats to the media and any old shite pops out. Silly old git can't control himself.

What are those accounts? I'm not being a smartarse, I just haven't seen any real description of what the clause says.

Well if he can't recognize Spurs's quality additions this season then yes he's actually getting stupid.

This is Liverpool's interpretation of it

They insist the clause is watertight and have stressed all along that an offer above £40million means they only have to tell Suarez that a club has been in touch – it does not mean they are duty bound to sell at that figure.
A Liverpool source said: 'We've all examined the clause in detail. All it obliges is good faith negotiations about Luis's future. There is absolutely no obligation to sell and that is very clear.'

In all honesty, that's the most useless clause ever.

Well that's my point. That's not a description at all. It's just what the reporter got having been briefed by Liverpool. What they've described makes no legal sense whatsoever.

I'm not sure we are ever going to see any real interpretation of that then mate. Liverpool will have their own description and Suarez and his agents will have a different one.

Why would a player even bother to have a clause to "be told" that a club had bid for them!

It's like most legal matters that deal with contractual issues. You pay some cnuts shitloads of money to give their interpretations and let a judge sort it out.

I don't blame Suarez in this matter, he deserves to be playing CL football even if he is a massive cnut.

If it goes to court we will. My interest is in what the wording is to be able to cause this sort of confusion. Is the wording that ambiguous? If so, how did they ever let it get to that point?

AFAIK, they can't speak to the player or his agents without Liverpool's permission. How did they know about that the £40 mil plus £1 clause? Liverpool might think Arsenal tapped him up.

It's all bollocks though.

Quite a few years back, Middlesbrough took Liverpool to the FA for a similar thing. Christian Ziege had a release clause for a certain fee and Liverpool activated it. I think they were found guilty as well, though the punishment wasn't much more than a small fine.

Nah he's a massive cnut. Signed a new contract last year. Liverpool backed him to the hilt in all his moments of insanity and he pays them back like this.

I agree to an extent but he is too good a footballer to be playing at Liverpool.

Honestly though, Arsenal isn't THAT big a step up, I guess the CL is a big lure for players.

I still don't believe he's coming to Arse.

BTW, are they doing that Being:Liverpool thing again? That'd be fecking ace with all of this mallarkey going on.

Contracts mean feck all in the modern game, the guy needs to further his career. He's a racist, he's done pretty much every cnutish thing outside criminal offences you can perform on a football field and you think he's going to give two shits about a side which is languishing so far outside the CL spots? at the end of the day his ability as a player is wasted at Liverpool and he needs to be playing regularly at the highest level. I hate him with a passion but on this matter, he needs to do whats best for his career.
