Revisiting his stats for that season -- 21 goals and 7 assists in 29 matches. Wasn't too much more Sturridge could've done that season (apart from score 9 more in that one game you allude to)

I have - I’ve watched “8 out of 10 cats” plenty of times. Again - I wasn’t the one that called it weird, though I can see why someone would - thus my reply and reasoning as to why it can play as weird to some. It’s not really a hill to die on. You asked how it was remotely weird - and I simply replied with what I think could lead to that interpretation.
