Dont remember that. Only thing I remember is how he got dominated by our midfield, especially Modrić who was then just coming into the scene. :)
Yep that too. Oh and didn't even have the bottle to take the pen when Croatia were already 2-0 up. Instead Lampard who at that time was booed by Engkand fans everytime he put on the England shirt, showed balls and took the penalty.

He came, he stamped, he went home.

Always kind of liked Lampard despite the fact he played for Chelsea. Always seemed like a decent lad. :)
Cant say the same for Stevie Starfish.

Brenda wont pick him for the final if they make it there. Would prefer to see them lose to Blackburn, so the Slippy send off tour will be over.

No doubt, but I think he would come on as a sub. Would be funny if they are winning, he comes on for a farewell, and last five minutes they concede two, one being an own goal. Dreams haha

Steve Gerrard, Gerrard,
He passed back the ball to Drog-ba
Then he slipped on his feckin' arse,
Given a straight red card,
That's Karm-ah, Karm-ah...

Excuse the extra line.

I wonder if he did that to try and provoke Mata into retaliating. Wouldn't put it past the sly cnut.
I rather suspect, in the same way Keane & Robbo used to look after "matters", that it would have been Fellaini who would have been charged with dealing with him.

Robbo and Norman used to love getting stuck into the dippers, especially their hard men like Souness.

Skinhead didn't seem too keen to argue with Valencia either. He's another one who looks a bit useful.

Valencia is built like a tank and usually completely emotionless, exactly the type you wouldn't dream of messing with.

If there was Serial Killer in the United dressing room - Valencia is surely suspect number 1...

Would anyone argue with this?!

Thought Herrera was going to cry for a second; of all the players he could have stamped, he chose one of the nicest guys in the team. Scumbag a***hole.

Fully expect Herrera to be booed every time he visits Anfield from now on, and to generally become a hate-figure to them to spew venom at.

I'll ask a question Football365 asked on their site. Why do we give people like Gerrard credit for "fronting up?"

Kinda off topic but I was singing the "You nearly won the league" and "Gerrard fecked it up" song in my head while watching Groundhog Day on TV.. A couple of seconds later the tune which those songs are sung to plays in the movie… Isn't life funny..

It's sheer bias and it's nonsense. Could you imagine the same reaction from these people had Balotelli/Costa/flavour of the month scapegoat done the same? Not a chance. Chances are they'd said "well it was about time X grew up and took responsibility".

Somehow in their rankings Rojo got a 0, whilst Gerrard got a 1. Surely being able to last on the pitch is worthy of getting a higher score than someone who trotted on then trotted back off again because of a red card....
