I just took my can and went "To Steven Gerrard", and then laughed for a good 5 minutes.

What a brilliant weekend of football this has been. Some top karma for Stevie and he was intent on shooting on sight to make up for his hilarious error.

He'll be on suicide watch if that slip costs them the title. Wonder if the fans will turn on him like when he was courting that Chelsea transfer.

If that Gerrard slip does indeed ultimately swing the title to another club, I'll forever forgive that twat for all the starfish dives, the hypocritical words he's spewed, the Drogba backpass, the camera kissing, the glory hunting, etc.

From what I've read on RAWK they haven't turned on him, mainly just gutted for him.
 
Lads, I am absolutely devastated here. Incredible scenes.

Not only has he let himself down, he has let his team mates down. He has let Brendan down. He has let the fans down, saw lads crying on the kop, tragic. All that poetry being waved on flags and karaoke before the match, and for what? He has let the entire club down. Paisley and Shankly will be turning in their graves. The football experts both at Sky and the BBC are beside themselves with grief.

I hope he's ashamed of himself.
 
Can't believe someone with his experience made a mistake like that. You never try and put your foot on the ball there, should have just controlled it normally. Liability.

Someone should get Collins into a gif/picture where Gerrard slips.
 
City will probably win the home games but that game at Goodison. I just can't see them winning there with the kind of record they have there.

The only thing that gives me hope is the Everton/Liverpool rivalry. The Everton fans will be hurting almost as much as us if the Liverpool win the title.

Yes but I don't think the players will really be too bothered by that. If City can somehow win at Goodison, it's their title to lose then.
