Spurs 2018/19

I really don't think they will. They're in a bit of trouble.

They'd only be on 6 points had we not been so wasteful.

Are they gunna finish above us, city, Liverpool or a Chelsea side with no European distraction? No, they aren't.
You might be right. I've written them off before though and then they go and pull it off but I can't see any of City, United, Liverpool or Chelsea missing out currently.

Maybe the Europa League will have a negative impact on Chelsea but Sarri knows how to balance these things.

Writing anybody off entirely at this stage is folly, it's far too early on. Not so long ago United were in 'crisis', football can change very quickly, I do think it'll be a big struggle for us this season but to say we absolutely can't finish ahead of any of City, Liverpool, Chelsea or United? Nah, disagree, of course we're capable of that.

We have big issues in the team, but so do the other sides competing for top four (Aside from City, maybe Liverpool now) and I believe we will see that over the course of the season.

You need to be intelligent and learn from your experiences, a cow isn’t intelligent and therefore doesn’t learn.

To be fair, the bloke trying to have a conversation with a cow doesn't come out of this analogy looking particularly bright either.

Why have Trippier and Alderweireld been left out of the CL squad? Seems a bit odd.

Apologies if it's already been covered, I've not read through the thread.

Seems weird to be totally left out. Totally unsurprising neither are starting though. Both full backs are rotated quote heavily, and Sanchez missed out this weekend.

Aurier is crap, he's like Walker lite, not quite as much physicality and pace, just as much footballing brain farts. Sanchez I dont mind, first season he did well, only 22, could turn out a great CB. Poch always rotates his FB's, Davies will probably play over Rose as Rose played vs Liverpool. And they have that young kid they can take for FB cover on the bench. Means both Trippier and Toby get to put their feet up and rest, which is probably what Kane needs for a couple of weeks as well.

Toby and Trippier misses out due to "technical reasons", probably means they're left out due to poor form.

Trippier certainly has been in poor form - Toby has done ok but not at his best. I'd have brought Toby personally though, I'd like to see KWP given a chance at full-back though it will be Aurier who always seems to have a mistake in him (though he is capable of some great stuff also just very inconsistent)

I'm glad to say that I agree with all of this - also glad that you are capable of some balance rather than negative ranting constantly. Let's get behind the team and fingers crossed we can get some better form built up starting with Inter tonight.

Is it a crisis now? Will Levy be sending for Zidane..?

We're an absolute joke of a team at the moment and the board should be ashamed of their sheer incompetence in the summer. Every single game that passes by the Levy shills who were content to sit on their hands and accept total neglect of the squad look more and more foolish.

Sorry, that's way too negative. Aurier played OK tonight, Lucas looked bright. Hopefully can nick a point at Brighton.

Stadium not even completed, no signings to bolster competition, tired players, captain been on the sauce.........shambles.

This only need Glaston to tell us this result is gonna lay a good foundation for Spurs in immediate future with future groundbreaking stadium coming ahead.

Big problems at Spurs. Confidence is at an all time low, players are shattered, the squad is thin, Pochettino doesn’t seem to have a second and third tactical plan and the new stadium is proving to be a nightmare.

I wonder if the media will get into their second favourite manager, Poch? Interesting times ahead unless you’re a Spurs fan.

Squishy's concerns were right @SquishyMcSquish

No, no. This is all ok, @GlastonSpur and @InLevyITrust assured us that we needed no signings and were in tip top shape.

Nothing about the team looks right at the moment. Tactically we're all over the place, the quality of football is utterly dire, we're unbelievably shaky and error prone, and several members of the team just look like they need a rest.

Not to mention the stadium farce .. we just haven't done anything right. People want to talk about rants/negativity etc, but the fact is that this is our current situation. There's no point putting fingers in ears and pretending that we're A-OK, some of our fans did exactly that during the summer and where did it get us? Backing the club/board regardless of what they put out doesn't make you a better fan.

Every time I watch them play I feel worse about how we handed them the game at OT. Fecking shambles we were.
We actually weren’t as bad as the drama queens will have you believe. We conceded goals from mistakes.

I’ve seen us play worse v Spurs and still win.

Spurs need to find something soon, as they look very tired and ordinary right now. Still can't believe that we lost by 3 goals to this lot, have looked average since the season started.

You’re too sensible for this thread. @balaks @InLevyITrust @GlastonSpur will demand more delusion.

As much as we've had our disagreements/arguments, I don't think it's fair to put @balaks alongside those two. He's very positive, but he isn't delusional about our situation and wasn't happy with the way the summer transfer window went at all. He's just less vocal about it and takes a different approach than me, which is fair enough.

Nobody hates anybody. We may have different points of view on some things but we are all on the same side.

I'd like to imagine nobody 'hates' anybody based on forum posts anyway, regardless of which side they're on
