It's a story far more likely to get clicks than "United attempting to negotiate a reasonable fee for Maguire/Fernandes".

The club paid almost £50m on Aaron Wan Bissaka. A very talented youngster but he's not even a full international. They also bid £70m for a player who moved for a quarter of that fee 2 years ago. Despite this the "penny pinching Glazers" narrative continues on.

The Glazers and Woodward continue to run the club really poorly but have spent huge money. Their failing is competence not a will to succeed.

If we end up with Maguire and Dybala it's going to be a very good transfer window. Still not great in centre midfield but it looks like we will only play 2 there, in a 4-2-3-1, and so it might be fine provided one of Mctominay and Fred step up their game this season.

He does not possess the pace of Salah or a Sane to do any damage on the RW. He's a terrific passer, has a good shot on him and has good chemistry in the final third but I don't think he can hold off the ball (especially in the PL where the defenders are a lot more physical).

Then he is suited to a false 9 role. Although I think he still can hold off the ball and turn and bring others into play, which is a quality needed against high quality opposition than physical epl teams, I agree he lacks pace so at RW he will drift Inside just like Mata and AWB will have to provide width, although he is more dangerous in final third.

If we sign a right winger next summer and Pogba leaves I think then we might see dybala in his preferred role.
