Smashley Young

Ridiculous how much everyone seems to hate him. He's not the first United player to go down easily.

He's not the one to take the Red card out either.

I don't see anyone showing 'hate' for him. Rooney and Nani got plenty of stick for their diving before too on here. I'm just annoyed about it, it's embarrassing, he's a good player and his constant diving has always been a big downer on his game throughout his career. It doesn't mean I don't still like the lad.

I think Fergie will have a word. Ronaldo cut down on it massively after saying that Fergie & co. had tried to get it out of his game and were discouraging it. I hope he stops, it's embarrassing and unnecessary when we play to the level we do.

He was pretty clearly shoved in the back, didn't exactly warrant the swan dive, but it was a foul.

Of course none of that should matter in the least, seeing as he was a yard offside.

RAWKish.

We give Suarez a lot of shit for diving, that was as bad as most of Suarez's dives.

Shameful how he dives about... I mean seeing Rooney do it once or twice over a season, fine, but the way Young throws himself every bloody match is getting to me.

Didn't know Young had a problem with diving to where some are bumping threads in the middle of a match to compare him with with Suarez....

I'm pleased for the goal but how about we got it, not so much.It destroyed the little chance QPR had of getting something out of this game.In the context (title race) I can be a little bit more hypocritical about it

Really? He's well known for it, did it a few times this season for us already, but none of them have been documented quite like that one will.

He's a massive diver, no doubt, I said as much when we signed him, but in this instance the QPR player did something incredibly fecking stupid. One of those times where it'd be a foul and a dive (Suarez specialises in this, which is why he never gets any penalties any more) but for the fact he was half a mile offside.

He's not even a good diver. It was so obvious. You didn't even need a replay to call it.

He goes down too easily but there was some contact. Sometimes you get a bit of luck, he was denied a clear penalty at Chelsea this season but got one today. Although, I'd like to see him cut out the theatrical falls.

feck off you diving cnut. Only player who dives constantly in our team, and only player I hate in this team.

it was a clear dive - sure Derry touched him - but not in a way that he would go down like that. We have had max luck with Lee Mason's poor decisions today. Even Rooney could - maybe even should have been sent off

Yes, go ahead and abuse our own players. Maybe it is you who should do as suggested and F off.

Some people here need to calm down, have a bit of perspective and look at themselves because the commens are pathetic. Yes, he did dive, and yes he is a bit of a serial diver at times, but he's not all that much worse than someone like Nani, for instance.

Fergie will probably talk to him about it, and tell him not to dive at all. We shouldn't hate players for it though. Ronaldo was a serial diver, yet a lot of people loved him.

You could tell from that time you said his cross for Giggsy's goal at Norwich was shit.

You'd think Derry would've protested a bit more if it was as blatant dive as people are suggesting, don't you think? Anyway, played well today.

Get a grip. I wish he hadn't done it but it's easily solved with a word from Fergie. He's a decent player, and I'm sure we're all grateful for his goal on Monday still.

offside prior to the dive as well :nervous:
